Her comb started to darken at the end of last week and she was abit hunched but still eating and drinking, she sunbathed in a patch of sun on Sunday but died overnight. Nothing obviously wrong with her, just old age and worn out I think. She had some good months of free ranging and scratching and being a chicken tho so we're not too sad, just happy she had a good end to her life. She got to feel the grass beneath her feet and sun on her back and you can't ask for more than that I lost Francesca on Saturday, she came to me with attitude and left with grace.
