dippy bird
I have a light sussex "Betty" and I have to say, she is a lovely lady - top hen in our family, but doesn't bully anyone. She's really nosey as well, and wherever I am in the garden, she is usually right behind me.Even when I clean the coops out and the girls are FR,she has to come and have a nosey - just to make sure I am doing it properly of course. jkl
Hi beulah, what lovely chooks! just what i need to see whilst lying in bed suffering from flu, I've always wanted light sussex chooks Plan of action - 1. Hypnotise mrs jkl so she thinks 6 is actually 4 2. Raid piggy bank and get a cube 3. Hypnotise mrs jkl so she sees an eglu instead of a cube 4. Get 2 white sussex 5. Figure out what to do with the extra eggs............ hey ho - very jealous and not at all delirious cheers

beulah59
Thanks for posting, they are very beautiful. Charity looks to be a big girl I didn't put the names in any order as I hadn't worked out which was which ... still haven't, except I think Charity is the one in the middle as she has a slightly floppy comb. She is definitely laying ... as is one of the others, but I don't know which!
beulah59
Very pretty girls. What colour egg do they lay? Paler than the ex-batts, but not as white as I'd been led to believe. I'm not sure which one this is, except that it's definitely not Charity!
