Valkyrie
We had our first frost on the 17th, but although it was cold last night, it must have clouded over because there was no frost this morning. Sunday was glorious though. Today a bit on the cloudy side but there was a little bit of sunshine. Friday night I came home late from a friends house and because I heard foxes close by I went outside - 2 barking from different areas. It was so beautifully clear - could see the Milky Way once I'd got my specs back on. All the constellations were shining brilliantly. I stayed outside for ages just looking. Don't know where the foxes got to - it went all eerily quiet. I heard one again the following morning. Still fairly close but not near us - yet. Saturday night it was the male tawny owl's turn to make a racket.
chickencam
We had a largely overcast day yesterday but fairly mild. It was mild and cloudy in the evening then we were woken at about 4am by torrential rain 11.5 mm in about 15 minutes . It then dawned sunny and breezy about 6 degrees. The sun is still out and it is quite pleasant.

ali-s
As Blackrockrock said on the previous page, Winter has arrived. Very cold, blowing a gale with sleety rain and this afternoon a hail storm which left the ground covered with icy balls. Can't wait for Spring to arrive, I hate Winter and where did Autumn go? Valkyrie
Yep, we had that too. No hailstones just very heavy downpour. I was amazed how quickly it came up on us - I'd only just put the girls in the run. Usually they whinge before an imminent cloudburst, but I guess it sneaked up on them too.
