How Quickly Does Albendazole Work?

Had some friends over for dinner last night and ended up with some left over cooked salmon. Hubby suggested the girls might like it and I agreed - how could any chicken resist Waitrose wild alaskan salmon fillet?!

 

I took it out to them in a dish this morning and they looked seriously unimpressed. Pecked at it a bit and then walked off. Lots of disgruntled chuntering. 5 hours later it was still sat there so I removed it in case they suddenly did decide to eat it and got food poisoning!

 

I decided to take pity on them and shred them some pak choi instead which they fell upon as if it were mealworms

 

What have you fed your girls that they have turned their beaks up at?

I'd have put it on a sandwich....the salmon that is.

 

My girls love pak choi. I grew some last year and forgot about a few of the plants. They loved them.

Gave mine some banana yesterday, they pecked it a bit then ignored it. I thought they were supposed to like it

 

They ate all the broccoli and cauliflower I gave them though

Mine will not eat mashed potato under any circumstances.

Carrots, they refuse to eat them everytime. They don't like uncooked broccoli either, I have to steam it for them.

Mine will eat anything, brussel sprout leaves always get left 'til last, but even they get eaten eventually. They love, love , love mashed potato, soggy bread, mixed corn, grapes - come to think of it, they love just about everything

Mine don't like a mixture of different things in one bowl. But eat anything except layers pellets or chicken feed of any variety. I didn't put food out for them for three days, which is the hardest thing in the world to do. and they still walked away when I gave them layers pellets.

The only thing mine have ever refused are caterpillars and large slugs. Unfortunately I could provide plenty of both in season. perhaps I've spoilt them. Protein and carbs over veg every time though.

Mine don't like greens. Ignore them all the time. They love puree carrot, mashed up potatoe, porridge, yogurt or meal worms.

 

Do hens like things as a group or do they have individual tastes?

Mine go absolutely potty for mashed potatoes, they jump up at the container before I have a chance to put it down

 

They just will not eat carrots, raw or cooked so I don't bother putting them out now. I always make sure I've got cabbage, greens or broccoli. When I put cabbage in the trolley hubby goes 'oh yes I fancy some cabbage' and I just look at him and he knows he's not actually going to get any of it.

Mine are now such spoiled little darlings they all come running as soon as they hear the back door open, and stop off muttering and chunnering if there's nothing for them . Monsters!

Mine tend to like the same things, they will eat veg so long as it's cooked not sprouts though. Or banana but they will eat apple so long as they can see the white flesh, if half the apple gets turned over so only the skin shows they refuse to eat it!

Mine will tolerate them off the stalk - but run booking away from the stalk itself, and won't go into their run if a Stalk of Doom is in there...

 

Hate carrots, but like all green things - raw or cooked.
