Guest
We watched parts one and two last night (couldn't resist BBC4) but that means that we have to wait two weeks for a new episode at the proper time. Edited to remove a stupid spoiler - sorry wasn't thinking! favourite quote from episode two: Hunt: "You're surrounded!!!! By armed b******s!!!!!" classic! Egluntyne
Brill....just watched it having saved it on Sky+. Him Indoors just can't fathom out what is going on at all. (He missed the first 2 episodes of the 1st series) I used to go to school on one of those Orange SELNEC buses!!!! They were the height of modern transportation!!!! And a Rag and Bone man.....what happened to them....they were early recyclers! The one that came down our road had a horse and cart and swapped old mangles etc for firewood and brillo pads! Egluntyne
Brilliant again..... Some of the lines....i don't know how the actors keep a straight face. It reminded us about how far we've come yet again. Not on for another 2 weeks. Drat. Could have watched next episode on BBC4 but then there would be nothing to look forward to. Brill Brill Brill. Popcorn
PSHow good was tonight's episode??? Deffo best of the season so far! The pre-titles teaser sequence made us all jump across the room! Poor Raymondo! Man! What a cool series! Oh Dan - don't tell me that. Gutted. I got to about 9.30pm and fell asleep on the sofa. Darren woke me up about 10.30 I gather it wasn't the IRA in the end and Sam was right?
Cinnamon
......and we had a power cut from 9pm for 2 hours,so missed it too
Popcorn
I gather it wasn't the IRA in the end and Sam was right? No spoilers!!! Some people haven't seen it yet! If BBC4 repeated Part 2 last night then by rights Part 3 should be on BBC4 next week but the schedules are all over the place at the moment. Oh gosh - sorry! Thanks for BBC4 tip Dan. Egluntyne
Hands up all those who thought the Camberwick Green style start to this weeks episode was absolutely brilliant!!
Laura & CTB
I thought it was magic - glad I've recorded it so I can watch the start over and over again, there were so many little details in there!
Egluntyne
I loved the way Gene Hunt and the n*nce stopped the beating to wave as they were introduced, and then Gene carried on beating him with a dustbin lid. So clever and funny. The whole series is brilliantly imaginative.
SeramaSilly
My mum says that John Sims (the lead actor) can't do another series but they are going to do a spin-off with the rest of the cast. I hope she's right but then again I can't imagine it without John Sims!!! Sophie x
Tom and Barbara
I heard that too Daniel - about the next series being in the 80s - but I heard that it will be a different cast....not sure how accurate that is...........shame though, I just love Philip Glennister! Cinnamon
John Sims is playing Picasso in a new TV thing soon. I couldn't think of 2 more different roles
Tom and Barbara
Picasso ????? ....... blimey.......that would be worth a look just out of curiosity. The only other thing I know him from is Jimmy McGovern's The Lakes that was on a few years back - great series but again soooooo so different from Picasso. He's obviously trying to go for more 'mature' roles. Will keep an eye out for it.
Egluntyne
I can't help hoping that Sam gets back to 2007 and then meets Gene et al who will have grown old disgracefully. He won't be able to marry Annie though! It has been the best and most imaginative thing on 't telly for years!!
Cinnamon
He won't be able to marry Annie though! He could be a Toy Boy
Tom and Barbara
that would be fab to see Gene in 2007!! what do you think he'd be up to? still a cop? ...but oh deary me I was about to ask why can't he marry Annie???? sorry, pregnant porridge brain
Egluntyne
He won't be able to marry Annie though! He could be a Toy Boy Now that's an idea I could warm to!
Cinnamon
I reckon that if Sam comes back to 2006/7 & finds his old colleagues, then Annie will probably be married to that nice young copper who is the only one taking any notice of Sams policing metheods - I forget his name now She will be the only one to recognise him of course. If they did do a Gene Hunt spin off they would just HAVE to call it Gene Genie
chocchick
Hands up all those who thought the Camberwick Green style start to this weeks episode was absolutely brilliant!! Gene is so good He does always try Sam's methods despite taking the mickey everytime. I loved that whole bit. Can't wait until the next one. The swingers one was good too. AnnieP
I would just like to say that Dan has got us so into this series! We are rationing ourselves to one a night and last nght watched the final episode from the first series.... Amazon will have Series 2 winging its way to us very soon...... Popcorn
ok - what on EARTH was all that about at the end last night???? who IS that guy He's Danny the drug dealer from Withnail and I !!!! I reckon he'll pop up in the future when Sam makes it back. I reckon he'll be involved in the car accident somewhere along the line. Has anyone got any theories on the HYDE number Sam keeps ringing? Only 2 episodes to go.........
Guest
Do you think it's Gene that ran Sam over and that's why Gene has to go or is this man Sam's doctor from the future and why does he need to get rid of Gene Last one next week This has been a fantastic series I hope all our questions are answered PS I loved the scene in this weeks episode were Gene was wearing his glasses as a disguise and that man didn't recognise him till he took them off Gene is
