patsylabrador
Apparently one egg can make an omlette big enough to feed 15 adults. I'll have to buy one and put it next to the bantams eggs for a photo.

C&T
Now that looks like fun! Just imagine the size of a cake made with that!!! But if a few friends are staying over, after "the night before", then this could make an excellent fun breaky for the "morning after". Just add half a pigs worth of bacon, and 10 loaves of bread! Valkyrie
I'd get my own, but I don't think they would like the cube much. Not seen them in ours, but there is an ostrich farm not too far away (Crowthorne-ish/Wokingham-ish )
Lewis
They sell them at the 'farmers market', £12.50 I think. Would be good for mass catering! Look too
Martin B
Hope they are successful and we see them at Waitrose in Alcester!!

Snowy
Wonder what my broody would say if I stuck one of these under her? Anyone got a mounting block? Can you battery farm ostriches?
Martin B
No you can't Snowy. Well not battery farm as such, Ostriches are in fact a Dangerous Wild Animal (DWA) in Great Britain, the keeping of exotic DWA species is subject to heavy local council, vet and welfare billing. One of the stipulations of the legislation is that the animal has a naturalistic environment and ability to perform it's natural instincts etc. one of the main charachterisitcs of the ostrich is it's ability to run and display, something which requires larger land amounts.
