I thought he was attractive too, but I bet he was a geeky teased adolescent though, he has that look about him.

and for those of us with geeky teased adolescents of our own he is a ray of hope

I must say he does give me hope for my son, who is a good looking intelligent lad, but a bit of a geek and lacking in self confidence.

He's brilliant! My two fave programmes on a Sunday night with him and Simon Reeve (who I was going to suggest for my peoples person topic). I don't understand all of what is said - actually, I don't understand a lot of what's said, but I enjoy it none the less. I missed Sundays as the kids were on the Wii but I will watch it on the Iplayer soon.

Which reminds me ................

How many people bought Stephen Hawking's "A Brief History of Time" and never finished it?

I never have, but one I found fascinating was "Quantum" by Manjit Kumar, and, inspired by that, I'm currently reading "QED" by Richard Feynman.

I found the first a bit easier to digest! QED starts off ok, but soon gets a bit mind boggling. Still, it's not exactly an easy topic, I suppose!

Just to make you swoon - I have met him several times - gorgeous guy!!! About 6 or 7 years back the University were working hard on their outreach programmes and I met him whilst sorting out placements for a couple of sixth form students two years running. I also got to go and visit the students whilst they worked with him on a research project for 6 weeks in the summer holidays. I think it was called the Nuffield Bursary Scheme. He was and clearly still is a really top guy. Very down to earth and keen to share his knowledge and inspire more people. Being a a lad from Oldham himself he liked the fact that our students were also from Oldham!

Watched sunday's episode of The Solar System, and my hubby got all huffy when I mentioned I thought the presenter was attractive.

I think it's the passion of these people: I find Jamie Oliver attractive for the same reason, and he's not my type at all!

Mr Griffin gets huffy if I fancy any blokes on telly too  It's ridiculous! I'm allowed to think somebody is attractive, doesn't mean I want to run off with them :lol:

There is definitely some nice "telly-totty" out there at the moment for us ladies isn't there.

I was drooling over Richard Hammond again last night - and I bet I wasn't the only one...

I thnk George Clarke - the Restoration Man, is rather lovely too - anyone else think he's yummy?
