Guest
enjoyed the prog...good mix of interesting recipes and snippets of trivia Plus, any tall girl who is married to a gorgeous shorter man is alright in my book!
Snowy
I enjoyed it! She's a lovely girl isn't she? Nice little ancdotes and some yummy recipes - must try that fudgy one!
Guest
she is lovely, I've taken to her I was surprised to learn her paternal grandad was Alfred P Dolittle!!! She comes from quite a prestigious background considering who her maternal grandfather was as well!
Cinnamon
I have always liked her - and she makes for an interesting, genial & gorgeous host. I look forward to the rest of the series
Snowy
Did you see her on the one show earlier this evening? They showed an old clip of her appearing with Grandad Roahl when she was about 6 or 7. Pudding basin haircut and huge glasses - an unfortunate look at the best of times (she admitted herself) - what a difference!
Christian
I enjoyed it too. Cheeky and fun. Must try the peanut butter fudge recipe!
chickencam
I thought this might get on my nerves and I was too busy last night anyway, but given the above comments might give it a go on iplayer.
fluffyknickers
I avoided it too as thought she would annoy me but seems I am wrong so will have to catch up on ipayer or somewhere.
patsylabrador
I didn't see it and the review in the paper wasn't very positive. I would imagine that you would feel quite conscious of other cooking celebrities watching especially if you've been referred to as the new nigella. I expect her confidence and character will grow. It sounds like a happy programme, to quote ' a flowery, girlie concoction of shopping and grandmothers' recipes.' I think that sounds nice, I shall watch it next week and I expect so will husband and sons!

chelsea
Heard on the radio this morning that the kitchen she was cooking in was rented, just in case you wanted to know that! Also mentioned that Nigella's kitchen was a replica of her own but built on a film set

She really didn't like her did she The house was beautiful. Not quite sure why it's on the market as they seem to be making quite a bit of money from it for photo shoots etc.
The Dogmother
I saw that article in the Mail too, what drew me to it was that it was a stock photo that I'd clipped myself last year when I was gathering images for my planned new kitchen. I'm not shocked as I understand that they all usually use 'model' kitchens. I hadn't seen the TV programme, but recognised the photo immediately. Guest
Is James Wong's kitchen a studio set up too? I really like his house/kitchen but it's probably not his either
Guest
isn't Jan Moir just a poisonous old bag anyway? Didn't she do something horrible about Stephen gately?
Cinnamon
She did - it was totally unforgivable I suspect she is one of those journos who is always trying to push for the most vile thing they can possibly say on a subject, to see how far they can go. Nasty piece of work,if you ask me.
sam42
Hi James Wong's place is also rented! He says he shares a house and his kitchen is nothing like the one on TV.

ubereglu
In fairness-eg the kitchen set up, it's reasonable to have show kitchens which aren't in their real houses, as I suspect camera crew wouldn't be able to fit in very well and if you lived in the area you could work out where these people lived. Guest
it's just that you think you're getting a little glimpse of their lifestyle and their taste in furnishings etc and it's a bit disappointing to find it's all a sham Still, I'll get over it! I'm going to the Axminster RC canteen in June and might have a peep at the real RC while we're there, at least we know Hugh's kitchen is his real house!
