Nothing  I work two or three weekends out of four, Mr Griffin is on call every three weeks so it's not often we have a weekend off together. I love those weekends because we can do stuff as a family rather than just him taking the kids out. This weekend was going to be one of those rare weekends, I was really really looking forward to it. Yesterday he told me he's on call from Thursday night because he's covering for someone else :evil::evil::evil::evil: He's due to be on call from Monday anyway but I thought we at least had three days where we could go out and do stuff  So he can't leave the house, he needs to be able to use the computer to dial in to work. I'll probably take the kids to my parents on Sunday or Monday. I would've rather gone with him too though

I know how you feel Griffin :( I have 5 days off now and OH is also on call (it's almost 24 hours a day now). I spend more time with the animals than him. :notalk:

I hope you get a weekend together soon,....anyway this weekend is going to be pants weather so maybe your weekend together will be a sunny one! 8)

I'm another just me and the kids as OHs shifts coincide with the weekend :( However I haven't booked any work for next week so we have a few days off all together as a family. If the weather perks up we might have a couple of days away. Otherwise it's decorating

I told my YS that we had tickets to see this (we all went to Silverstone to watch it last year) and he said 'oh great, another thing you're going to without me' I said no, you have a ticket too - he said 'do I have to come?':roll::? I despair, I really do give up

Purple cube building on Saturday, weather permitting and Andy not having to "pop" into work for and hour or five.

A few loads of washing to get done as Natalie is back form Lanzarote early tomorrow morning weather permitting  and she is away again to Glasgow for 5 days on Tuesday.

Lots to do in the garden on Sunday, weather permitting

I am in the middle of a church marathon!

Twice on Palm Sunday, meeting on Monday, Handbells on Tuesday, Choir on Wednesday, Maundy Thursday service tonight, twice on Good Friday, Holy Saturday evening, twice on Easter Sunday and then on my day off I am singing Evensong in Rochester Cathedral. :)

On Good Friday, I am launching a new Men's Singing Group. 15 brave men have signed up and they will be singing 3 spirituals (Oh when the saints, Swing low and I'm gonna sing) and possibly Blowing in the Wind (if there's time because they're quite good!) Wish me luck!

Going to a static caravan in Devon until Tuesday.

It's my birthday on Monday, so there will be some relaxing and maybe some wine and some chocolate. We will live on hot cross buns and panatonne which I am making today, and chips etc, so not much cooking has to be done :D

Looks like it might even forget to rain on Sunday so fingers crossed.

Tomorrow and saturday I'm plaanning on finishing hammeriting my bargain (99p) baker's rack i got from e-bay. It was black and I'm painting it a sort of brass colour...

I'm using it to put herbs/seedlings on in the conservatory. Will hopefully also have time to paint the walls in there too and re-jig the furniture layout.

Sunday, mum is coming round for roast leg of lamb and all the trimmings. Lamb came from a farm just down the road. Then we'll probably just chill out or fall asleep for the rest of the day.

Monday, i've seen a boot sale advertised in a nearby 'affluent' area so hoping I can get some nice, cheap planters to put my herbs in and display on the baker's rack :D

....

Saw some ex batts at Styal Mill having fun in the puddles.

...

I went there years ago with my school, we were doing a project on the industrial revolution :D

Then, I ended up working just down the road from there at C&W in wythenshawe years later.

Have you been to Dunham Massey? i think that's NT and it has the most beautiful formal gardens where you can picnic. It's lovely to get a spot under a tree, near the lake. Would be a good place for a Northern omlet meet actually.

You can also BBQ in the surrounding grounds (not the deer park though obviously).

It would be good to organise something in the summer there.
