we gave our girls today peeled carrots, babycorn and lettuce which they ate in SECONDSSS!!!!!!

we also gave them dandelions aswell, which is good due to the fact that we get over-run with them and especially when it's a good sunny day!!!

what types of tomatos are suitable? i.e Cherry/Plum?

we also have rhubarb growing in the garden, would it be ok to give them the rhubarb and the leaves or just the rhubarb stick (peeled) or the leeves?

any hints or tips welcome

Apparently rhubarb is poisonous and it would appear from a very recent post that grapes are off the menu now as well (and therefore also raisins). Common Nettles are good for chickens - rich in vitamins A, C, D, iron, potassium, manganese, and calcium. Just hang a bunch (uncooked) from a piece of string.

ahhhh spinach sounds good. we brought some broccoli yesterday when we were shopping and have cut it up ready to put it in the stainless steel ball next time we put it in.... They attack the ball whenever we've put it in, it's quite fascinating watching them eat.. i must say weve stood and watched them eat a few times and im sure we will do many a more times..

Hi, is also the leaves of the Rhubarb poisonous? when we let them FR they were nibbling at the leaves a little and walked away from em!

The leaves and the root of the rhubarb is poisonous - the stalk is ok to eat for everyone though!
