Its Friday 13th!!

 

Anyone had any bad luck today...or is it all a load of mumbo jumbo

I'm a firm believer in the mumbo jumbo theory. It's all chance as far as I'm concerned. But I've had a horrendous day, complete nightmare. Fortunately I'm 11 hours ahead of you so I've survived so far & am busily relaxing & recovering with a glass of wine & plans for an early night. Have a great, safe Friday 13th all of you.

I heard I'd passed my professional exams on a 'Friday 13th' Also my daughter was born on the 13th so although it wasn't a Friday I am looking forward to celebrating many Friday 13th Birthdays with her I always look at it as a lucky day x

YD did, she was the prettiest baby ever, but gave us temper grief until quite recently, ironically she has calmed down as her hormones have kicked in.

Definitely mumbo jumbo! OH was born on Friday 13th and ES was born on Friday 13th, so a very fortuitous day as far as I'm concerned!

It's my mum's birthday today, so it's not that bad.

 

However, we did come home from the dentist to find out that my brother had let my rabbits walk around the house and bite the cables of our NEW computer

I have had a rubbish day, nothing has gone right for me the phone line went dead for 6 hours, I broke my laptop, I burned the tea and spilled beetroot juice all over So definitely a bad day for me

I don't believe in bad luck, but I did drive half way to our allotment before remembering I should be at work. Oops!

I remember my brother turning 13 on Friday the 13th!!!!. My Dad's shop got raided by a foorball gang that day and he and my uncle got really badly beaten up .

 

Yesterday went really well for me though, so I think these things are just chance.

 

It all started with the Knights Templar, whose enemies tried to assassinate them all on Friday the 13th, centuries ago. Not very good luck for them .

Never been bothered by number 13 - in fact I make a beeline for it if that numbered petrol pump is free. Apparently it's only a fairly recent bad luck omen. I think it was originally something like 18. I lived at number 13 for years - I consider myself quite lucky really.
