For the south east, in case you haven't seen the news. Sounds bad, hopefully will not happen. I put it on the weather thread but wasn't sure if people would read it there.

Yep, I heard about it on the radio. Better tuck the hens up safely tonight.

Yes, sounds nasty - it's very dark here already. I've just tucked the hens up after cleaning them out, topping up feeders and so on, on the basis that I won't want to be hanging about in the garden tomorrow morning. I've closed the greenhouse window as that might be caught by the wind, and shut down the rotary drier - no doubt there are a few loose items in the garden that will take off if the wind gets up.

Flip - hope Wales will be ok as off on jollies soon. Mind you that is very West, but you never know if the weather is going to creep up the country.

I'm just waiting for my DD, SiL and grandchildren's flight to land at Bristol - they then have a 2 hour journey back here, along the corridor of bad weather (South coast, South West and across the Midlands) Their plane is due to land at 11,30 - I don't think I'll get much sleep until I know they're all safely home

We had torrential rain last night, and again this morning (although it could possibly have been all night for all I know). We had a nice paddling pool on the patio this morning. It's stopped now but will probably start again as soon as I take the dogs out.
