severe weather warning

Recommended Posts

Yes, sounds nasty - it's very dark here already. I've just tucked the hens up after cleaning them out, topping up feeders and so on, on the basis that I won't want to be hanging about in the garden tomorrow morning. I've closed the greenhouse window as that might be caught by the wind, and shut down the rotary drier - no doubt there are a few loose items in the garden that will take off if the wind gets up.

I'm just waiting for my DD, SiL and grandchildren's flight to land at Bristol - they then have a 2 hour journey back here, along the corridor of bad weather (South coast, South West and across the Midlands) :? Their plane is due to land at 11,30 - I don't think I'll get much sleep until I know they're all safely home :?

Hope they are all now safely home Lesley.

We had torrential rain last night, and again this morning (although it could possibly have been all night for all I know). We had a nice paddling pool on the patio this morning. It's stopped now but will probably start again as soon as I take the dogs out.
