debbier
...a boiled egg for breakfast, with soldiers, and when the top came off it was just perfect, with the yolk still runny and the white cooked. It's just me and the dog home at the moment, so nice and peaceful. Blissful. Now to get some work done.
chicken bark
It's one of those 'alls right with the world' moments. Just what you need on a dull wet day today.

Snowy
Having one of those moments myself! I'm sat having a nice cup of tea, listening to the radio and browsing the forum, dogs asleep on the settee. Have the day to myself - lovely! chick wiggle
Ive just sat down and am browsing the forum with a sandwich and a coffee, after painting 4 doors inside and cleaning out 2 eglus, 2 cubes and a wooden coop outside. I now have the house to myself, its quiet and i feel ive done well. Bliss? near enough! If it had been a Pimms certainly!
Snowy
Even better now tea is in the oven, children are home and dried and the wine is poured. Simple pleasures indeed!
Jennifer Jane
I am anticipating a pleasurable evening on Friday. My DH is going out for a stag night and will be out overnight, leaving me alone with the animals, wine, chocolate and telly. Bliss... Except that the last time I was left alone, the minute DH had gone out of the door, Mia, my huntress extraordinaire cat, immediately went out and caught a rat, brought it in, and proceeded to torture then disembowel the poor screaming creature , while I locked myself in the study and phoned DH to say get back here now! Maybe this time will be different
Seagazer
Jennifer Jane, I really hope that doesn't happen again for you, yikes, sounds disgusting Something simple like finding a great film to watch on the tv on a rainy weekend afternoon whilst doing a bit of sewing or crocheting is a pleasure for me - especially nice in Autumn/Winter. Space Chick
I heard a song on the radio this morning that made me think of a friend, it put a smile on my face whilst I was sat in bad traffic in the rain
ali-s
... sitting quietly with just the sound of the logs crackling in the stove, the pitter patter of raindrops on the window, the clock ticking, my knitting needles clicking and Rupert sat on my lap purring
The Dogmother
Any time to myself is good. Sat in my PJs in front of the fire... actually getting to read a book would be nice
majorbloodnock
Waking up in time for work, then realising it's a Sunday and being able to roll over and doze again. Waking up an hour later to the realisation that my son has gone downstairs and started breakfast for everyone, and that a cuppa's on its way upstairs. How can life get better than a double whammy like that?
Omletina Kyckling
For me, it's sitting in my little cottage, with the heating or the fire on, glass of wine, feet up, cats curled up on the hearth rug, just me and them relaxing!!
