CallyChook
thanks folks, I needed the hugs! so, the plan for the rest ofthe day - more sitting on my bum, as I just don;t have the energy for any more daftness inthe house. Then perhaps catch the 4.30 bus to town, i wasnt planning on it but this morning when he went to nursery with OH, my son said "mummy will you be picking me up from nursery with daddy again?!" so happily, that i kind of feel obliged. And if I dont go, i promised to make him something really tasty for when he gets home and whipping a batch of fairy cakes up sounds like more hassle than getting the bus then waiting in the coffee shop for 30 mins sipping a decaf latte before OH finishes work. Last week the bumpy ride (and it really is bumpy!) didnt do anything. Maybe I should give it another go. I have just the right change for the fare, the coffee and about 50p left over for a packet of sweeties for the young man, so that's making me think I should go. CallyChook
still nothing, so off on the bus for a jolly. fingers crossed the embarrassment of waters bursting mid-town might encourage her to do it... go on, make a fool of mummy!! I dare you!! If i take spare pants, then she will know and it wont happen.

goodinparts
Oh Cally....you poor thing. That last bit of waiting seems to take longer than all the rest of the pregnancy. Sorry your mum didn't manage to say the right things - my mother in law is similarly gifted, despite really good intentions - so much so that OH actually banned her when I was pregnant or newly delivered....Perhaps her departure will inspire the little one to emerge. CallyChook
nom nom, had a microwave curry for tea as couldn't be bothered but it was surprisingly nice! The midwife on wednesday said that i may have a show that afternoon, but that she had basically removed most of it so possibly not. Anyways, this evening have had a big show! So fingers crossed although I'm not holding my breath. Like hubby says, it's got to happen sooner or later!

Reikiranf
No sign of Callychook for a few hours so either she's embroidering a replica Bayeux tapestry or otherwise engaged In the meantime I have a much bigger problem, I'm wondering what to do with all the kittens I've been having

CallyChook
hehehe, it is looking like a masterpiece! Fell asleep on the couch while watching Paul O Grady, so hubby packaged me off to bed with a bottle at 21:10. slept really well too! LOTS more show! Getting very excited about it, despite the lack of any other signs. Oh but had a dream that I actually had the baby, which is the first directly baby linked dream in a long long time, I wonder if I had a mild contraction or two that made that happen? Nothing this morning that I can tell, but I slept far better than I have for weeks - woke up for a tinkle at midnight and then DS had an accident in bed about 12:40.... took me a while to get back off to sleep after that but then didnt wake until 20 mins ago! bigmommasally
Ahhh don't be down hearted Callychook, your lovely baby will be here any day now, she's just cooking herself to perfection and choosing her moment to make her grand entrance into the world. I know the last few days are the longest (my DD1 was 11 days late) but just try to enjoy the feeling of having her all to yourself inside you. Big Hugs to you, hope all goes well and you have a pain free birth. ,
Angie
I think today is a very good day for this little Lady to start to make her way into this world . So many " Aunties ' are desperately waiting for news. And if the weather is as miserable as it is for me. What better way to spend the day than having this much longed for daughter . You have nested till the nest is spick and span, you have slept well, all ready for a little work of a different nature. Such Joy .. Best wishes and fingers crossed all goes well, which i'm sure it will.
