Old Speckled Hen
Dull dank morning. Temps hovering about 5/6 in the day and 2/3 at night for the next five days.
Charlottechicken
Very dull here too. Black clouds rolling in, windy, very low pressure according to the barometer, and 4 degrees.
The Dogmother
+6 deg last night and a sultry +7deg this morning, so very mild for January. It's windy though and dark, so I expect rain today. Was woken by heavy rain in the night and there's a lot of standing water here.
Valkyrie
Blowing a gale here - hope it blows those clouds away quickly. Sun is also out and very mild indeed - for the past couple of days we've turned the heating off - too hot indoors!

sparkysmum
Just awful here in Dunblane I am so totally cheesed off with this weather that I'm considering taking comfort in alcohol Edited January 9, 2011 by Guest
Charlottechicken
Bright and cloudless here today Hoping for a day of sunshine to dry everything up. There's a good frost on the cars, and it is below freezing here. Sun just peeping over rooftops now!
Patricia W
We've had a lovely day in Abingdon - mild and very sunny. I managed to clean all the chooks out today - first really good scub out they've had since before the snow came! They've all enjoyed it too - lots of sunbathing going on. And it's still light! For the last few weeks they've all been ready to roost at this time of day,but they're still out, scratching around. Shame it's not forecast to last though! The Dogmother
Lovely here too - had a very busy day outside in the sun as well; helped out our street neighbourhood initiative to clean up a couple of footpaths in our road, then fettled all the chooks and bunnies, then went for a family walk with the dog... beautiful day, but it's forecast to rain for most of the week now! The Dogmother
+11deg here this morning at 6am was very dark, sunny and blue skies by the time I left for work, but it's getting cloudy again now and I understand that we're due for solid rain through the weekend. I am worried about the River Cherwell, which normally floods about this time of year - I saw it last night when I went to the gym and it was very high already
Egluntyne
It has been gorgeous here today. Blue sky, sunshine, no need for a coat in the garden. You could be forgiven for thinking that Spring is round the corner.

Cinnamon
Jeez Within 5 minutes it went as black as night here, huge flash of lightning, big bang of thunder & now the most torrential rain I have seen in a long while. EDIT: 3 mins in,there is now hail & the road is flooded. Truly Biblical weather & quite scary!

Egluntyne
Crikey, Cinnamon. Glorious here again. I've just changed my avatar back, so I expect that tomorrow we will be under a blanket of snow.
Cinnamon
Clear here now. The road outside is horrendous - just been on the phone to the SODC highways again. They sent an emergency team out last time, but by the time they came it had all drained off,so they left It only ever used to flood if we had several days of terrible rain, but now its each time we get a heavy downpour. Had to pick up the youngest from the bus stop,as she couldn't have got to the house through the flood!

The Dogmother
Well, I never did get Sarah's flood Been very windy here all weekend, Moochoo and I walked our dogs just outside Stratford on Avon yesterday, the river is very high and the surrounded land is waterlogged. Some fine drizzle both days, but a mild 10 or 11deg.
Egluntyne
We had gale force winds here last night. My poor little greenhouse has lost three panels, only one of which I can find. Presumably the others are in someone else's garden,
Old Speckled Hen
It rained all yesterday and continues today. The wind really picked up in the night. Sounding like a train, it woke me, so I got hubby out of bed in the middle of the night to help me put more bricks on the beehive roofs
