Eastenders

Recommended Posts

Is anyone watching it? Don't you just find this story line so unrealistic?! I think the writers have gone mad!! For anyone not watching it, 2 women had babies at the same time, one of the womens babies died so she swapped the dead baby for the other one without anyone realising... :?

Well it is Eastenders and no one is allowed to be happy!

I think it would have been better if Ronnie's baby hadn't really died and she was then forced to watch Kat and Alfie bring up her child, they'd have got more mileage out of that. I think the scriptwriters have gone too far with this one :(

....and no visiting midwives/nurse.........Ronnie's mother hasn't been seen at all............

I was hoping that the Corrie tram would keep travelling.....taking out more of the Corrie cast and finishing off most of the Eastenders lot as well :evil:

I really ought to make a NY resolution to stop watching such rubbish - why do I keep thinking I might miss something?

Thought it was just me! So glad it isn't!

After the episode where Ronnie wondered into Kat and Alfies bedroom, I have not seen it - and we do normally watch it...

I know Eastenders does not normally reflect "reality" in many ways - but this storyline is amazingly poor!

Yes Treekeeper, there will be a DNA test at some stage when the child gets ill and needs something donating & shock horror neither Ronnie or Jack is a match  I've watched Eastenders since it started and think it's time to give up now, but like you Lesley I'm scared of missing something

But then again look at the extra time we'd gain back in our lives if we did stop watching!

I'm way behind (too much Dexter watching  ) but have got the general gist. I also think that poor old Ronnie has really been through enough for goodness sake. Why couldn't they just let them both have their babies and enjoy them?

I gave up watching all the other soaps years ago, I will probably give up on this one too.

OH YEAH and a health visitor is going to say Oh well that's allright that your babies club foot has mysteriously cured itself I will not take any further action nothing odd about the fact that a baby has died across the road and I know nothing about it because health care professionals and the police don't talk to each other at all!!!! And I can't stop watching it my wife won't let me and that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!

Apparently Corrie's had a roasting because everyone seems to be hopping into bed with everyone else - mind you with half the houses being under the tram there i prob a shortage of beds so that explains it

Mind you that's been happening in Eastenders too

I usually don't mind enders too much because you do sometimes get a bit of light relief, I find the Masoods quite funny.

I've caught up now and I can't understand how Ronnie could keep hold of Tommy (which she is struggling with) whilst not being able to grieve properly for James. Surely she'd just want to hold her poor baby.

As others have said, a new baby like Tommy wouldn't surely have been left alone for so long even if it was New Year's Eve. I always had mine almost superglued to me.

Forget photos etc... what about the fact you'd recognise your own baby???

My husband and I stopped watching Eastenders when Tiffany died as we were so fed up with the misery. We do occassionally tune in, if for example we have a guest who watches it, but then hubby finds it impossible not to mimic the angst that everyone shows and the way they all talk. Try speaking quite quickly, with a london accent and with angst in everything you say, even if its just asking for a cup of tea

Once you've realised that you could probably, like us, never watch it again.
