chestnutmare
Thanks for the wishful thinking from you all... cause now... IT'S HERE The boxes are all there. I don't think I've had my feed and essentials delivered but the is here. It's all still boxed (it's pretty heavy!) and I'm waiting for OH to come home so we can put it together. Tomorrow we are going to pick up the hens. The alarm will be set because we're travelling quite a way to get our girls. I'll post here with pictures of the Go and hens tomorrow. chestnutmare
Thanks all. We've just started building it... but we're missing the run extension. Trying to be positive, at least we can get the hens tomorrow. But it's a shame the 24hr service isn't quite that. (24hrs would be Wednesday gone). Gertie
Oh, that's a shame...maybe they are trying to pace your excitement so you have something else to look foward to!!! I got my egg skelter today and the roosting bars. The skelter is awesome. It is going to make sorting through 2 dozen eggs so much quicker!!! Have you thought of any names yet? chestnutmare
I had an egg scelter for Christmas. We knew the Eglu was coming sooner or later. They look very useful and look lovely too. Well we got in from building the Eglu at 11.30pm. It's freezing outside. (We started building indoors but then realised we'd never get the thing out!). I'm very grateful to my OH going outside in the freezing cold after work! We've left the very end of the run off just incase the extension comes tomorrow while we're out (parents will be at home to collect) and then we can quickly add it on when we get home with our girls. I have my camera ready. Will post the photos. I've thought of some names but I haven't decided for certain. I need to look at the chickens to decide and we're not 100% sure what three we're getting yet.

Sageandonion
Hi Chestnutmare - just checking in to see if you got your girls today and if so what did you get, looking forward to the pics. I got layers pellets and corn today so am pretty much ready to get the chooks. Only trouble is we've had loads and loads of rain and the chicken run is a massive puddle. Don't know whether to leave chook shopping until it's dried out a bit Let us know how you've got on today
