Ain't Nobody Here
I got a lovely mug with a chicken on it from a friend . Not a thing from my family though . The girls 'somehow' managed to borrow my credit card and know my password to Amazon - they bought us a lovely wire mesh type egg basket in the shape of a chicken! How they typed with only claws or a beak I'll never know! I think I know . [

jill the potter
I got a book - 'Chicken Coup for the Soul' by Julia Hollingsworth - not started it yet though, will let you know how it is.
goodinparts
Jill - I got that too & really enjoyed it...good mix of story telling about her birds & some practical info & things to make you think. I'm still weighing up the chapter in which she decides that feeding commercial chicken food isn't as wholesome for the planet as she'd like...have an awful feeling she's right, but can't realistically see myself changing. I'd be interested to hear what you think when you've read it. Kathryn
meezers
I've used my christmas money to order a set of 3 'vintage style tins' with a cockerel on the side. They haven't arrived yet, but should be just the right size for the chooks corn and the peanuts and seed for the wild birds. I keep the corn by the back door and my greedy LabX scoffs it every chance she gets, so I was pleased to find a perfect sized' chickeny' tin to put it in. Oh, and almost forgt, I have my 'beautiful chickens' calendar hanging in the kitchen
cavysqueak
The girls 'somehow' managed to borrow my credit card and know my password to Amazon - they bought us a lovely wire mesh type egg basket in the shape of a chicken! How they typed with only claws or a beak I'll never know! I think I know . [ So thats how they managed it! Now to make sure that I don't leave my credit card in reach again! They've already got 2m of extension to the Cube run - If they work out how to get onto the Omlet site I could have a large credit card bill and an even larger run! I love the pic, what a beautiful girl. I haven't managed to get pics on the site yet. Maybe that should be the New Year's Resolution! majuka
I got a really nice set of chicken table mats and coasters from a friend. My MIL also got Dave and I an oil jar with chillies in, in the shape of a chicken. At first glance I thought it was quite cool, until Dave discovered that to pour any of the oil out, you have to pull the chicken's head off....Not quite so nice now

goodinparts
Oh....I found "Your Chickens" on twitter and wondered if anyone knew what it was like. Their introductory offer for subs looks quite tempting, so if it's a good read then I might just sign up. As a chickeny "still Christmas til Candlemas" present from me to me, I guess
Minnie&Moose
I got a chocolate chicken and my son got 2 real chickens - a crazy Welsummer (Medlar) and a lovely blue cochin (Magda) who looks like she's wearing fluffy pyjamas and towers over all the rest, even though she's obviously the baby of the bunch. Gelbel
A chicken tea towel, a chicken calendar - now in the kitchen so my England rugby calendar just HAS to be in my office. JS1
Cushion with appliqued chicken on it - companion to the one I got last year; cereal bowl with chicken on it; honey pot with chicken as lid (all from the chickens - aka husband) - and money to buy some chickens in the spring from my lovely dad. Dad also got my husband a calendar from GAGAH (Give a Greyhound a Home http://www.gagah.co.uk/), the organisation where we got our two from. He had to explain quite carefully that it wasn't Lady Gaga! Mind you, last year three different people independently got us egg cosies
