jimnpaula
James found Ruby this morning. She had died in her sleep surrounded by her 'sisters' tucked up nice and warm. I did wonder how long she was going to last as she was doing the 'full nappy' walk last week and was quiet and withdrawn. Bye bye Ruby, our smallest, baldest, feistiest ex batt. You were out of your cage nearly as long as you were in it. P

jimnpaula
Sorry to hear about your wee Ruby but what is the full nappy walk????? I saw it with Topaz when she went downhill; the tail and tummy drop down and the walk becomes slow and wide. They look uncomfortable, exactly how I'd feel if I had a full nappy. dancing cloud
So sorry to hear about Ruby - it's always sad when one of our ex-batts passes on and she sounds like a real little character. No consolation just now, but later you will know that she passed away peacefully to the forever free range after a lovely happy life with you and that you made a real difference to her.
