sage
I'm in need of a new food processor, got fed up fo having to super glue the old one together everytime I use it. What do you all use? Any recommendations please. Sage

The Dogmother
All I'd say is to get one with the biggest bowl you can. I bought a small Kenwood processor a couple or three years ago and while it's fine, the bowl is nowhere near big enough. I use my big old Kenwood Chef most of the time, but I need a bigger food processor TBH

Eggasperated
I'm in need of a new food processor, got fed up fo having to super glue the old one together everytime I use it.What do you all use? Any recommendations please. Sage Same here, I use my old Kenwood occasionally but it's tatty and not really up to much. I'd love a Magimix but having bought a KitchenAid mixer a couple of years ago I'm not sure how much use it would get. Can you make breadcrumbs in the Magimix? That's one of the things I use my Kenwood for ( the liquidiser attachment), also pastry as it's not so good in the KitchenAid.
Cinnamon
I made some just last night. Mine is great as it has 3 different sized bowls, which all stack together, plus 2 sizes of blades. I just whizzed up a couple of slices of bread in the smallest bowl for a few seconds,to make some crumbs to mix with parmesan for my Chicken Parmagiana
sage
Magimix it is. Think I will wait till I cook Hubby his Valentines romantic meal before I tell him the price Thanks everyone Sage
Purplemaniacs
Magimix are great, my lid has cracked after a good few years and I ordered a replacement ready for when the original snapped but it is still in one piece after about 2 years. I persuaded my Mum to have one, I helped her buy it in 1984 and it is still going my DD has it now. Chrissie
Ms Marple
Magimix!!!!! Although I have a Kenwood chef that I got as a wedding present 29 years ago and it is still working great. I use it for baking before the Magimix sometimes. I think I have similar one to Cinnamon with three bowls and lots of bits!. Just bought a Magimix Nespresso machine - love it too Sorry got excited at 901 posts finally!! IT does breadcrumbs too and because I cannot proof-read myself well - ever. chick wiggle
Agree agree agree! I was in your same predicament last year and eventually went for a magimix with some trepidation because of the price, but i have to admit it is fantastic. I leave mine out on the worktop and use it constantly. If you want to pop down and have look before you buy one...you know where i am! Good enough excuse for a cuppa if you ask me! sage
I’ve just been really naughty. I was looking at the Magimix 4200 on Amazon when I came over all faint, I must have blacked out for a few moments because when I came round I had bought a new mixer. At least when I put it in the kitchen it will take a while for Hubby to realize it’s there and by that time I’ll just shrug my shoulders and tell him I‘ve had it ages. Valkyrie
@ Sage! We've been looking into one for ages. The Kenwood monster still doesn't have a big enough processor attachment so we stopped looking. Will check out Magimix although I can't remember if I've already done that. sage
Valkyrie What were you thinking sending the 5200XL link to your Hubby. You should have sent a link to the cheapest magimix then ordered the 5200xl Sage
