Trollop

lachrymose

serendipity

I love just about all onomatopaeic words too (sorry, no dictionary too hand, and I just bet I've spelled that wrong)

Cataclysm

Melodious

Melliflous

Nymphet

Bizarre

Spawny- eyed wassock (as an insult)

Crumpet........

...... and I swear there's masses more, I love words, I just can't think of any right now.

I get really irritated by people who swear incessantly, unnecessary 4 letter words, when there's such a wealth of wonderful words out there that are so much more descriptive and impactive than their boring old favourites. Unfortunately my children don't always agree, but on one occasion we were in a supermarket car park, when a young lad and his partner came to a car near us having a very heated argument, and the same 4 letter word was literally the every other word in this very loud slanging match. Imy slipped into the car to me, very subdued, and muttered "I think he could do with a dictionary for Christmas, Mum" My children actually do listen to me sometimes after all :D

loquacious & soliloquy :D (still need a dictionary- not sure if those are spelt correctly  )

My home PC died over the weekend  - I can only access the forum at work at the moment, hence no dictionary. Hubby has taken it into work today to see if one of his IT guys can resuscitate it. *fingers crossed very tightly*, we can't afford to replace it right now
