beach chick
bought rather too much paint - Cuprinol Garden Shades Lavender - for the new bunny palace, and couldnt face taking it back... so far, the bunny palace has had 2 coats all over and is ready for assembly. I have painted a garden bench. Also 3 sections of 3' high wooden picket fencing and a gate. going to paint the rest of the fence later - well, it might take a few days as there are about another 7 sections, but I'll get the side I see most done anyway. considering painting the garden table to match the bench, but worried it might look a bit twee, on the other hand you cant go wrong with lavender! waiting for my cold frame to arrive, so I can paint that lavender. we also have a wooden garage that could do with a face-lift... that might look nice in lavender. mr beach chick is away on business, back late tonight - he will not know what's hit him when he wakes up tomorrow! what else can I paint? so far child 2 is slightly lavender, and the dog is also a bit smeary... bluekarin
Brilliant! Still, better than not having enough. I'd save a bit to do touch ups on the bunny palace (and every where else you've painted) if I were you.

j00lz_12366
am soooooo jealous! I wanted lavender, but himself wouldnt let me.. I ended up with ronseal 'wood sage' which is a murky pale green-quite nice..we painted the WIR, the eglu table, the kickboards, then we moved onto the trellis, the inner bit that the hosepipe hangs onto on the wall, the raised beds..ther cats...(unintentionally) In the end we used a 5 litre can and best part of a 2 litre can..i'll think of something else i'm sure! Lesley
I went through this with 'Iris' when it was first brought out (before 'Barleywood' but still thanks to Mr Titchmarsh and garden makeovers!) then Black and then Sea Jade - anything that stayed still long enough was painted! I gave up before Lavender......it's bad enough having a smallholding with 12 Eglus and me wearing Pink Crocs Wellies .....and farmers laughing at us ........but it does sound tempting Has Mr BC seen it yet? beach chick
weeelllll.... he has admired the rabbit hutch - but appeared to manage to leave the house WITHOUT noticing the fence or the bench!! it could possibly be what is known as a 'man look' will have to see if he notices when he comes home! need to get a bit more lavender to finish the fence, but am thinking I will do the chicken run - scope for another colour I feel. maybe a nice willowy green, or maybe blue to go with the but that might be a bit much, I dunno? craftyhunnypie
Oh I'd get a few cheapo wooden planters & paint them, them fill them with real lavender. Mmm the smell. You can use the plants as an excuse to do more painting. Oh & maybe get some wooden trellis too. Emma.x
Plum
I painted my little wooden chicken house, perches, ladder, bench.............one chicken had a beautiful blue beak Bet your husband saw the fence and bench and was too gobsmacked to say anything. I would paint each panel of the fence a different colour

beach chick
6.15 tonight - he'd been home since 5, he had to go out to the garage to get something and NOTICED!! "I can live with the fence - as long as you finish it - but I dont like the bench AT ALL" hahahaha . me and the girls says its awesome; I have pacified him about the bench by saying how lovely it will look when I move the grey/silver non-treated table back in front and put my new ivory umbrella (birthday pressie) up. got enough to finish the fence and touch up bits I've missed; but think I'm going to go for lavender on the WIR as well... maybe in a few weeks time when he's put up the fascia boards and missing kickboards in his fortnight off, and has gone back to work and prob wont notice for days
