Chicken shack Posted April 20, 2011 Share Posted April 20, 2011 (edited) The researchers from the One Show are comming to see me tomorrow about urban chicken keeping and fingers crossed I may be on the show Good Friday. If not me it will be another 'Hen Mummy'. I will keep you posteed. When I spoke to the researches I clammed up and I usually bore anyone who will listen about my girls. They are comming at about 4pm. I will let you know tomorrow night if they come. I love Chris Evens and and listen to his Breakfast show on radio 2. The researches didn't even know he keeped chickens untill that is I told them. Martin B Posted April 20, 2011 Share Posted April 20, 2011 Didn't they try this a while back and almost put off everyone in the UK from keeping chickens by going into homes with chickens head to toe in white protective equipment to avoid diseases etc. Fingers crossed for you I hope all goes well! Chicken shack Posted April 21, 2011 Author Share Posted April 21, 2011 It is 6.55pm and Doren and Miles the One Show researchers have just left both with 4 eggs each in an Omlet box. I have been grinning for so long that my jaw ache. Had to talk about my favorite chicken, why she is my favorite, how much I love them and it goes on and on. They also took shots of my very large cat Archie. I am to be at the television studio by 5.30pm tomorrow. I am so excited I can't cook dinner tonight Any excuse not to cook. I hate my photo taken and I hate being filmed, I sound so common. I guess that is what I sound like to everyone else. Common as muck Here I am going on telly. I probably wouldn't have agreed other than it was for the One Show with Chris Evens. I listen to him every morning. I am so eggcited you wouldn't believe. My problem now is what to wear? Wear something that makes you feel confident - remember you'll probably be sitting down, so avoid eg a short skirt, and don't worry - the makeup lady will make you look fabulous! I was interviewed once on TV and they did such a good job that I didn't want to clean my face afterwards! I'm off to set up the recorder just in case I forget.
