Luvachicken
I know it doesn't seem like a long time, but after 2 days of my girlies being put to sleep an empty cube and run were really unbearable so......... ......yesterday afternoon we picked up my new bantam girls, a chocolate wyandotte, a barred wyandotte and 2 cuckoo wyandottes. They are lovely and have given me 2 eggs today already So far they have settled in really well but weren't too keen on coming out this morning, mind you it was horrible weather. I hope they know were the ladder is for later. Sorry, no pics yet - too wet and yucky to take pictures today.....and as yet no names for them either Edited June 8, 2011 by Guest

Looking forward to seeing pics. Where did you get them from? I saw a chocolate wyandotte at the Newbury show and she looked very pretty May just have to get 1 or 2 one day. Luvachicken
i would leave to see your new hens, sorry to ask but why did your others get put to sleep? so sorry to hear about it xxx Charlotte was very poorly and just seemed to sleep all the time - there was nothing the vet could do for her ....and Matilda had ongoing peritonitis problems and a limp which although she'd had for a while, suddenly got much worse and she couldn't scratch in the soil or itch herself without falling over. It was horrible to watch them both suffer and although I kept thinking 'oo, they look brighter today' they were getting worse and I couldn't do it to them anymore. It was one of the worst days I've ever had - and I dread the day my lovely Daisy dog goes to doggy heaven....she is getting on a bit now ( 14 and half ) Photos coming soon, I managed to take one of all of them by dodging the showers today....just have to get hubby to make it smaller ( can't do pc pics by myself )
Luvachicken
This is all of them together. Sorry, she moved a bit The 1st two eggs I got on their first morning, by the choc wyandotte and barred wyandotte. The 2nd two eggs came today from them too. None of them have got names yet .....any ideas ? And they are really clever because they all managed to put themselves to bed on their first night
