Went to Derbyshire to meet people with the same car as us, it was organised through the UK owners forum, we made some new friends and had a great day! Peoples' faces as they saw 7 Kia Souls driving around Buxton in convoy were an absolute picture

got very wet watching Texas at Westonbirt Arboretum this evening, they were good the weather was not!, we left early, I wouldn't like to see the state of the track out by the time a few more cars had been over them.

Still it was good fun in a typically British kind of a way

Mr Griffin has the miseries  Me and the girls all want to go to London on Saturday but we cannot decide what to do. I really want to go to the British Museum. He thinks the younger girls wouldn't be interested. London Eye and the aquarium? A lot of money for a ferris wheel to see sights the younger girls don't appreciate followed by a few fish. My favourite place on Earth, Hampton Court? Been there a thousand times. The Tower of London? Ditto

So I said "On Saturday we are going to London. YOU can decide where, let me know when you've found something suitable."

Where are we going? Hastings. HASTINGS

:cry::cry::cry:

Griffin, if you change your mind & go to London, take them along the South Bank. Full of exciting stuff for adults & children. Within walking distance of IWM. I love it along there, so much to see. There are a couple of websites about it. Borough market, HMS Belfast, beach sculptures, loads of street theatre stuff, the skateboarding kids, book market, all sorts, plus the river itself. I think you can use your travel/oyster card on the river bus. :P

Thanks for that, we are takig a day trip to London in mid August so will try to take a look along the South Bank.

It must be something in the water because my OH has the miseries at the moment too, he nearly didn't come to Westonbirt with us last night despite it being his idea in the first place. maybe it's the weather. We have been having the same kind of trouble deciding what to do for 4 days next week, at least we have ruled out camping after out soaking last night.

Ha! I got my own way :D We are going to London but we will go to Hastings next month when Mr Griffin & I both have a week off work. We're going to drive down early in the morning, spend the day there then stay at a Travelodge or similar overnight before visiting Hever Castle the next day. I've wanted to visit Hever for years and years so I'm very excited about that

Turned over this morning at around 5 am and pinched a nerve in my shoulder :( Tried to go back to sleep but had to get up to take an anti inflammatory. Just as I got comfy and fell back asleep, the alarm went off

On the plus side, I did manage to buy my first ever chocolate cosmos plant  What was even better was being half price :D

Hope your shoulder's feeling better now :) .

I got a nice bargain today :D . I was buying layers pellets and happened to notice a large box of Stalosan F with "Sale - £10" on it. I snapped it up (even though I still have half a box in the shed!). They were having a clear out (although why they had to clear out Stalosan F, I'm not sure :? ).

youngest has invited 4, yes 4!!! friends to sleep round on Friday night; now oldest wants 1 friend as well.... I dont actually mind that much, but we have (adult) friends down to stay on Sat/Sun - so all those kids need to clear out pretty sharpish on Sat morning.

Just received text from DD (15) saying "mummy we need you!" - so, my mind is going from she's hiding under the desk whilst someone is running around the school with a gun, she is in the mangled wreckage of a bus to there is an animal injured that needs help (slightly worrying about how my brain works  ). No, none of the above...she needs to know how much it would cost for a box that would fit a pillow for product design. I wouldn't mind but she doesn't even do product design

DD started ballet tap & singing class on Monday. I was given a list of shoes and clothes she would need. Total price

£75  . She's not 3 yet and it was her first time.

Ebay

Tap shoes £1.75

Leotard £2.11

Cardi £0.99

Total postage £5.50

Still bidding on ballet shoes still only £0.99 so everything crossed.

The class had nothing second hand. It looks like your ment to order through the woman who does the classes and she get special deals.

I got most of it on ebay.

Total cost is looking to be about £12 forTap shoes/ballet shoes /leotard & cardi no way am I paying silly money when DD will have out grown it by the end of summer.

A nice chap from Northumberland has just made my day :) as he doesn't believe there is a strip of invisible sea between me and the rest of the UK :) I can buy a pallet of wood briquettes for the wood burner nearly £200 cheaper than from a Southern Scottish supplier and delivery is free :D , the Scottish supplier wanted an extra £53 to deliver to the end of the world.
