Sammiboo
Oh yes now I remember - extra thin ice! We could only get spearmint or peppermint here. If I'd know they did cinnamon too . . . . i remember sticking a whole packet of mint ones on my tongue ....... boy did i regret doing that
Griffin
Ooh yes, I used to like root beer. It tasted of Germolene. Or at least, it tasted the way Germolene smells. That's exactly what I said about it One of Mr Griffins colleagues brought back shedloads of sweets & cans of drinks from America and root beer was one of the cans that ended up in our fridge. It was bleurgh
Lesley
I think root beer is more TCP than Germolene - I quite like the taste of Germolene

Tutti Frutti
Anyone remember the Flipz white-fudge-covered pretzels from about 15 years ago? £1.65 a packet in cybercandy And bring back coffee-filled walnut whips! But only with Fr eggs so M&S ones will have to do

sadietoo
Ok...really showing my age now... Who else remembers Aqua Manda? I have a clear image of me in a bath with this and Radio Luxembourg on the portable transistor radio.... How sophisticated was I ? !!! Edited to say that to me Root Beer = Wintergreen = Germolene (tcp is a stronger oilier smell). Anyone who has tried Pepto Bismol will recognise the similarlity too!! sadietoo
Me neither... You can still buy Badedas, but they don't seem to make the extravagant claims anymore. Ohh this is making me so nostalgic, bring back BIBA !

CatieB
Does anyone remember Nutty bars Yum yum caramel bar rolled in peanuts with a brown and orange cellophane wrapper. ubereglu
Ooh, there are loads of these! The Body shop is a prime example: Seaweed and Peony shampoo and conditioner, Watermelon aftersun and I'm sure there was something else. I loved the pepper pate and frozen green beans we used to be able to get hold of too. And giant smarties and Vice versa sweets.

whoopsie
I hadn't heard that one! I might have to try it when the time comes (though I think Lavender baths might still be my first choice!!!!)
bluekarin
Badedas reminds me of my Grand mother in law. Its the only bath foam she uses as she says it cleans the bath beautifully I love the smell of it. Not smelt Fenjal though. What does it smell of?
whoopsie
Not sure I can describe Fenjal. It just smells really strong and chemical to me, wheras I find Badedas comforting. It's wonderful after a long day at work too.
fluffy chick
I hadn't heard that one! I might have to try it when the time comes (though I think Lavender baths might still be my first choice!!!!) The midwives recommended it but they said not to use too much as it dries out the scars etc. Sorry if I'm putting you off! It was lovely at the time but remember it being expensive (I was only allowed one bottle )
whoopsie
Well it's still not cheap! Lavender IS clinically proven - maybe i'll wait on the Badedas for a bit!
