squiffs
Surrey or Kent....probably Surrey,so she can commute It has to be her first choice, you can only take the insurance place if the first choice rejects you.

LisaP
Been very stressed here and didn't sleep much last night, but got up this morning and DD logged straight into UCAS and found out straight away that her Uni place was confirmed so that was an enormous relief. She then went into school to get her grades, 2 x A* and 1 A don't know which grade is which (I forgot to ask and she hasn't come home yet) but she did Chemistry, Biology and Psychology. She is going to the University of Sussex to do Medical Neuroscience. ES, who also did his A Levels this year, just called to say he got Sociology C, English Lit D and Psychology E. He's happy with that and has no plans go go to Uni, he's currently working for my husband. Have to go through it all again in a couple of years, as still have 2 younger sons currently 12 and 14 Fingers crossed, best wishes and congratulations to everyone else getting results at the moment. Cinnamon
Well done to all. STILL not able to get onto Track,so cannot accept the place as yet. It is ridiculous...they really need to sort this out. If it hadn't been for the accommodation acceptance email & the college posting results on their page,we still wouldn't know

Geoid
My grades are not as good as I hoped But, Plan B is in action now, so: My first choice university are still deciding if they will except me or not. My insurance choice said my offer is now unconditional, which means I can go But, UCAS need to sort track out, I need it! Been down since 8am now, this is terrible. Ziggy
Well done everyone! Good luck with first choice Fred! My niece sms'ed this morning (good thing she did, I wasn't keen to get out of bed and the alarm was snoozed) to say she got 1 A*, 2 As and 1 B, and got her first choice in Warwick. With four daughters, we still have to go through all this ourselves, so nice to have 3 nieces/nephews to practise with ... and get to understand the system!! Things don't work like this where I come from!! Congratulations all,
chickenNutter
Well done anyway Fred, to be at A level/Uni standard, whichever Uni you are at, is a great acheivement in life. Feel PROUD! My son has got AAB and is confirmed to do Film Making at Manchester Met. Phew! (Hmmmm, close enough to shoot home to the bank of Mum and Dad, a hot meal and to use the washing machine!) bellekatz
Well DD just missed her bgardes but as no one can get on to track ( even the Uni) we drove to Salford, her first choice uni and they had accepted her anyway. Wont be able to accept it till later... assuming we can ever get on to Track!! She is off to Salford to do German and Italian Translation and Interpreting which was her first choice ( and in her mind her only choice!!) Yay!!!!!!! She was lucky in that she had her Grade 7 flute which they took into account and we took her grade 8 certifiacte with us as she ahd taken it too late to put on her form. It gave her another 75 Ucas points . Good luck to everyone else in "negotiations" for places.... hope you get what you want!
