Ain't Nobody Here
I sold 2 small items over Christmas. Stupidly, I've posted the one that I haven't been paid for yet instead of the one I have . I wonder whether the buyer will pay up ?
scubababe
I would like to think that they would pay, but that is just me. I've done something similar and was lucky. Send them an invoice as a reminder
Ain't Nobody Here
I nearly sent a message telling them that I've posted it but then thought I'd wait and see if they pay up before the item arrives. I sent a reminder invoice a couple of days ago.
snowberry
I think most people intend to pay for items especially as they wouldn't be expecting the item to arrive without them having paid for it. I just hope it arrives veeeeeeery slowly & th payment goes through for you beforehand.
Redwing
They may have forgotten. I checked my eBay last night for the first time in 10 days with a dead of not knowing if I may have something to pay for. The items arrival will probably prompt payment and a sorry message
Sammiboo
i think you need to contact them. i dont go on ebay for ages then have a spend. if they have the item they may think they have paid for it
Ain't Nobody Here
I may leave it a day or so then do a friendly apologetic explanation and hope they are as honest as every other Ebayer I've dealt with! (A French guy I'd refunded when the item didn't arrive then refunded me when it did eventually arrive ).
soapdragon
Having bought and sold on e bay for quite a while I think MOST people are honest and up front...have faith ! However, if things don;t work out you can always contact the resolution centre..good luck!
Cheeky Chooky
You could also contact eBay and let them know what's happened?...I've always found them very helpful
WitchHazel
Any news ANH?
Ain't Nobody Here
No payment made yet (although they could be away for the hols). I'm not sure if they'll have received the parcel yet, I think I posted it last Thursday and there probably isn't a delivery today. I'll send a wee message tomorrow, I think! WitchHazel
I'll send a wee message tomorrow, I think! I'd recommend seinding it today, just a reminder. It's the first working day after the hols, it's plenty of time since the auction finished, so it isn't unreasonable to do so. Reason for suggesting this is that the parcel will likely arrive by tomorrow. If they get a payment reminder today, hopefully that will prompt them to pay today. Cinnamon
You could also ring them. It might nudge their conscience to hear a human voice asking for the payment...
Ain't Nobody Here
I've just had a rambling but friendly message from them saying they get paid on the 12th and will pay me after that. "Quality item" apparently .
scubababe
Yay...I think Well at least they have admitted that they have received the item and that they are going to pay you. Fingers crossed they are good for their word
Lewis
Why bid so early then?! Hope they do pay up!
snowberry
That's a bit mad isn't it?! I'd never bid on an item knowing that I didn't have the funds in place! To leave you waiting for 3 weeks is completely unacceptable
Chook n Boo Mum
Erm...tbh, when they get paid is not your problem.......they should send you the money now (well before, but that obviously hasn't happened for whatever reason!) & deal with any consequences that may occur.....especially as they have the goods in their hot sticky mitts .......or is that my cynical side coming to the fore
Ain't Nobody Here
What is ridiculous is that the item (inc P&P) only came to £6.24 .
Space Chick
At least you have evidence from them that they have received the item and when they are planning to pay in case you need it.
Chook n Boo Mum
Crickey ANH, they definitely have no excuse not to pay up .....that's extracting the michael! Was the message acknowledging receipt, on the phone or written? I tend to assume rambling messages are spoken, but could have misunderstood
Cinnamon
If I were you I would actually start non paying bidder proceedings against them now - they are taking the mick. It takes a good 10 days or so before any action is taken against them by eBay anyhow,& I am sure that the emails from eBay threatening a NPB strike will make them pay up pretty darn quick. People have 1 week to pay after an auction has ended & this has been 7 gone,so I would take further action.......the fact that you mistakenly sent the item is immaterial. Ain't Nobody Here
It was written. I've already responded saying OK (I must be a soft touch ) so I'll give him the time, even though it's a bit unreasonable. hello, I thought that you did, I said to myself that I though I hadn't paid haha, yeah I will make payment, don't worry, only problem is I get paid on Thursday 12/01/12, so I will send payment as soon as I am paid via paypal!! quality item by the way!! thanks very much
Mum
I think you'll be ok. As for the "getting paid" timescale, if they are frequent Ebayers they will know that items are not usually dispatched until payment is sent, so they wouldn't have worried too much. Not my way of doing things, but I can almost see their logic.
WitchHazel
If, as a buyer, I knew I would have to wait 2 weeks after auction end before I would be able to pay, I would contact the seller first to ask if that would be OK. If I was in that situation over an item costing £6.24 incl P&P, I would not bid at all. They are taking the mickey. If they don't pay up on the 12th, start a non paying bidder thing immediately,
