Chook prefers a bit of luxury!!! She's at it again!!

Last Sunday was a lovely sunny day so had the back door open and one of the new ex-bats kept wandering in the kitchen and had to be 'encouraged' out :D .

Later on, I popped upstairs and found her again.......

She was so busy staring out the window she didn't even notice me come into the room to take her picture

Great photo! Nothing like seeing an ex batt finding their feet in the big, wide world :D

I agree, but I didn't expect to find those feet on my bed, though she had wiped her feet as she didn't leave a mark on the bedding. No poos in the house either - clever girl :):)

Wow - what a well behaved hen. I have no doubt that my girls would leave me a stinking curry poo on the pillow if they found their way into my bedroom! :vom::lol:

Another sunny day, so again the back door is open and while I worked in the garden I thought they were all out with me - but when I went in to have a sit down with a cup of tea I heard that familiar, quiet 'bock bock' coming from behind the telly !! and when I looked.......................

and when I pulled the curtain back to let her out I noticed she'd left me a present.........

Sorry that one's a bit blurry - but at least it wasn't a poo  .

I have one similar to her , priceless ! would not change her for the world. Poppy has been known to be on the kitchen table reading my husbands telegraph...A proper ring leader, the other girls hang back until they know she can get a way with naughty things and then try to join in .

I think Hettie is determined to be a House Chicken as she was in the house quite a few times on Sunday and I was forever turfing her out. If the weather's nice I always leave the back door open so the dogs can come and go into the garden as well - but I've never had a chook before so determined to be in the house !!

Several times I looked back at the house from the garden to see her in the lounge looking out at me - and a couple of times she had taken a friend in with her as well. Once, when I went inside she shouted at me from the landing, and whilst sitting on the sofa with a well deserved cuppa she wandered in and tried to get up with me !!!!. She has ruined her reputation though of being 'house trained' as there were a few poohs that day.
