Luvachicken
I just looked at the strawberry santas on the all things nice page and agreed that the 25th Dec chap should be called Father Christmas. We have Father Christmas in our house. Santa is American isn't he ? I don't live in America. I just wondered who comes to visit your house on 25th Dec ? Looney
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Santa_Claus This gives an explanation of why Santa Claus is called that. We call him all sorts here! Father Christmas, Santa, Saint Nic....
LolaLayla
When I was little, in England he was Father Christmas but on moving to Scotland he was Santa. Also I noticed it is more likely to hear Merry Christmas than Happy Christmas here

patsylabrador
Whatever pops out. Usually Santa because it's quick to say. He's got so many different names I don't think he minds.

Goosey Lucy
For me it's got to be Father Christmas, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Lavenders_Blue
He's Father Christmas in this house. My nephews call him Santa though so I would say Santa if I was talking to them. I bet he doesn't mind either way though!
soapdragon
FC in thishouse...Santa always sounds American to me rather than British. However, YS is called Nicholas and loves the idea of St Nicholas so we may be'going continental'! If I remember correctly, in Italy they have a Christmas witch called La Beffana (spelling may be a bit wonky; it was a long time ago!) I guess, as I do all the presently stuff, I qualify as a Christmas Witch!!!!!!!!!!!!
