craftyhunnypie
That's it there is no going back now - I've joined slimming world tonight, you know the red days & green days thingy! Big step for me, I was as nervous as hell. But there are only 10 of us in the group & 2 are men. Good on them! So planning the ultimate mixed grill for tea tomorrow - red day! craftyhunnypie
Thanks everyone! I've had a veggie chilli & rice after returning from my 1st class.....followed by an absolute load of cherries that I've sat and ate like there's no tomorrow! Feel a bit sick on cherries now...is that possible??? Ha ha - going to start with a red day tomorrow, so I can have bacon & boiled eggs (my own hens) for brekkie! Followed by a large jaffa orange. Going food shopping in the morning once work is done so I'll decide on lunch & tea then. Loadsa meat on red day - oooo hubby will be happy. Why do men love their meat???? Thanks for the support Emma.x
Cinnamon
Good luck! I joined Weigh"Ooops, word censored!"chers a few weeks ago, but have slipped off the wagon in spectacular fashion (again!) No will power- thats my problem

Laura & CTB
I have no idea what red days/greens days are all about but good luck (think I prefer the red days by the sound of it)
Mel (& Paul)
Well done you. I think red days mean you can eat anything red (wine) and green days anything green (green and blacks chocolate) That's right isnt it
susiepoos
Well done you've made that first step which is the most difficult - I have lost 1 stone 10 pounds with slimming world and when you get into it it's a great way to eat. Two ladies at my class have lost 6 1/2 stone and 7 stone so I know it works. Going through an awkward patch at the moment as I still want to lose another 2 stone but I've just seem to have lost the momentum - it'll come back. They talk about taking the scenic route well that's me Good luck and let me know how you get on
Mrs Frugal
Good luck!! It's not easy but it's worth it if you can stick to it. I did it a few years ago and lost lots of weight.
Jules.
Well done you! Have you thought of an exercise regime to do as well? I am feeling really frumpy at the moment, I weighed myself & I am 9 stone 6- this time last year I was 7 stone 11 1/2 , & two years ago I was 9 stone 8. I joined Rosemary Conley in Aug 05 & lost nearly 2 stone in 12 months (going up a bit over Christmas 05). I dodn't go to RC anymore, stopped a couple of months ago as I was finding it hard to go to the classes... I have a big family party to go to at the beginning of September & a wedding reception at the end of Sept. I would ideally like to lose at least 10lbs, if not a stone. If I post my weekly weight here will you all cheer me on? I was so fit as well then, I can really feel the difference now. I feel old! Kathy C
Its back to counting points with Weight Watchers again tomorrow after my holidays. I am not looking forward to weighing myself. (Lots of wine, crepes, galettes and chocolate Maybe I should try Mel's diet )

craftyhunnypie
Well first day & I feel quite proud! Brekkie was bacon & sliced up boiled eggs with small glass of orange juice Lunch was wholemeal roll with loads of ham on & a pineapple ring (yummy), Optifit yogurt - from Aldi & a Jaffa Orange Afternoon snack was 2 ryvitas with tiny 28g portion of cheddar Just had pot of fruit cocktail Tea is Fillet steak with loads of veg piled high & a small jacket spud, followed by sliced up kiwi fruit & banana. I've drank that much bloomi' water today, I can't stop piddling! I've just done a crossword to take my mind off food!!!!!! We're going for a walk out later - not far, but gets my off my lazy backside! Tomorrow, we are walking into town, getting the veggies off the market & meat from butchers, then walking back. About 3 and half miles in total - plus with all that heavy veg - I'll certainly sleep good! Do you reckon stripping the eglu down and washing it all would count towards exercise, cos washing the car does! I don't mind sharing my weight as I need all the encouragement I can get! Starting weight is 14st 13lbs and I'm 5ft 4 inches. A little short bum as I often get called! I've not found today too bad, with a bit of luck my fillet steak can be done on the barbie - still sunny here! Good look to anyone else on a journey to lose weight & thanks to all for your support! Olly
- I have to say that I've tried Weight Watchers, Slimming World, Rosemary Conley and ... there's another one I'm sure. Every time I have ended up larger than before That's not to say they don't work, I think it's finding a system that works for you and sticking to it. My best results have been with Paul McKenna, I'm not exactly a shining example, but I'm a lot happier since I stopped 'dieting' and also stopped hating myself for being overweight. Good luck, I am not trying to diss Slimming World, their red/green plan was one of the easiest ones I've followed - I hope this is one that works for you. You're sure to get lots of support on here, keep us posted with how you get on. If only I could grow an extra inch in height, all my problems would be solved

craftyhunnypie
Hellllllllllp! I've just returned from the longest walk I have ever been on in my life! We only intended walking to town & back - but we had a delivery that hubby decided we could do on foot! So we walked into town, then to the next village ( stopping off at the canal to eat our jacket potatoes we bought at the market). Sat near canal & ate them - mine with cottage cheese & chives....no butter! Then continued on to the next village, which took forever and ever - further than hubby thought! Then decided to follow a footpath over fields and quite boggy in places, my poor red crocs are quite muddy now. Then cam out of a farm gate onto a bypass. Walked down the bypass, which must have looked funny. Then called in the farm shop for a well needed wee wee and a coffee. The walked back home along along the old railway line, which is now a nature trail! I am very very hot - a bit glowing from the sun & quite tired! Quite proud of myself tho - hope it gives the diet a big boost! Just eating some cherries and an orange now & I'm so so thirsty so gallons of water! It's green day today so loads of pasta with homemade veggie bolognaise for tea later. We are off to Makro in a bit - so I'll be walking again. At this rate i'll be at Platinum level body magic in no time! I'll sleep good tonight. Called in local pet food place - there are some lemon pekins for sale on the notice board. Very tempting, but nowt to home them in! If they were small enough, what could I home them in temporarily? Good luck Paola for tonight! Hubby is on Autoroute now, working out exactly how far we have walked! I'll be back on here soon to let you all know! Emma.x
