charly1979
Ok this is a weird one, I have just been giving Annie a cuddle mainly because yet again she is out of the run ! I have noticed that she has different colour eyes ??? One is bluey the other orange. She is laying and seems healthy enough, the eyes both look ok no discharge etc. I am wondering is this just one of those things or perhaps something that I should be concerned about ?? I will try and upload a picture but I need to take them first Any ideas or if someone also has a girl with different coloured eyes ?? good_egg
Annette is blind in one eye and it is a different colour. Her pupil doesn't react to light and she turns her head to see you if you make a noise on her blind side.... Only way you can tell. Blind one is bluey grey other is normal orangey colour. charly1979
Thanks it sounds as if she may be blind in one eye ?? Here are pics of each eye apologies if not very good its quite hard to take a pic when holding squawking bantam and iPhone whilst at the same time trying to stop the other 6 ratbags from pecking at the very unappropiate shoes I was wearing Whoops !! Eye one Eye two Silly shoes asking for toes to be pecked
suebee
Love the sandals... Eye one looks a little dodgy, although, to be fair, this is the moving iPhone pic ... We had a blind cat once. His unseeing eye had a very large pupil, apparently constantly seeking the light that wasn't there. Her pupil looks smaller than in the normal eye in pic 2. I'm sure someone with experience of such, will be along soon. Distorted/strange shaped pupils can be a sign of Mareks disease, Personally, if she's happy, and there's nothing physically wrong with the eye, and as you say, there's no infection or anything untoward going on with it, I'd try not to worry. Luvachicken
Sorry I am of no use at all but I did have friends at school ( many years ago ) who had different coloured eyes And I think your flip flops are lovely.
mimi5
Hi there charly1979! Funny enough there was a post of a pekin called Nettle recently with the same thing on the clinic section (pics too!!) Maybe do a search for the thread?? But if I remember right it turned out to be an injury. She was like it when she got her....can you remember if Annie has always had her eyes this way?? Let us know how you get on??
good_egg
Looks similar to Annette but her pupil is smaller. Hubby is blind in one eye and his pupil is large so can be either I guess. I worried about Mareks but as there is nothing else wrong with her and we are a year on I reckon it safe. Hubby told me to stop seeing zebras where there were horses! Have you got any old pics you can look at? I'd keep an eye on her (excuse pun) and if she seems fine not worry! Nice shoes btb!!
