The Weather Thread # 8

We really need a hissy fit smiley. I don't want thunder! But it has come down very heavy throughout the day - some sun in between but overall not nice. Floods and little rivers running across the road this morning when I dropped the boy off in Aldershot - and it wasn't even as heavy as it got after that!

Missed a few days - computer died, but overall I think the weather had been better. Yesterday was lovely. Back to walking in our nice organic farm and looking at the wildlife. Even had one of those tree bumblebee queens sunning herself on our front door. But Basingstoke had 80 homes evacuated, and further along to Overton they have coned off one side of the road and used traffic lights because of the flood! Never ever seen that before. And even when the rain was at it's worst it was fine, so this last week sealed the deal - yet the rain wasn't that bad recently! And in Basingstoke some of the houses on a hill had floods in their front gardens up to the front doors - so what was that all about!!!!???? Couldn't really say they had the water table rising up! Had to be water pouring down from further up the hill, yet houses below seemed fine! :eh:

Well this morning it's cloudy but we have had sun. OH went for a walk early and cut it short because he got soaked soon after he set off. Not rained since - but probably will soon enough!

Yesterday was glorious, today is OK but with some black clouds that seem quite gruesome, hopefully they will blow over.

We are cracking on with outdoors chores as the wet since November has really set us back. Going to clean out the WIR now, I do hope my little helpers only trip me up half a dozen times today :wall:

Blooming gorgeous here, I am just about to go treat (technical term for throwing paint around, result is 50% of paint ends up on decking and 50% ends up on me, the cat from 3 doors down and a bus passing 2 streets away) the decking to a coat of something posh.

Hubby taking Friday off as forecast is good so that way he can get some pathways gravelled
