Luvachicken
Oh yes, all ready for 9pm Tea later, pick up ED from work, quick shower, then Broadchurch and then bed. Hope it's as good as the last series.
bluekarin
I have it booked. I wasn't originally looking forward to it as I loved the first so much and couldn't see how they could do a second. But after seeing the trailers I can't wait
Egluntyne
Wow! What a beginning (I'm up to the first lot of adverts). That has got s all on the edge of our seats here!
bluekarin
I know! I will have no nails left at the end of all this.
Luvachicken
Very good but just a bit too much dramatic music on it for me - bit too droney for my ears, if that's a word.
Groovychook
I found it all a bit confusing as I missed the first series. It's probably quite vital to know more of the back story... will stick with it and hopefully all will become clear! Did it seem quite clear cut who the murderer was in the first series? Egluntyne
It did.

Grandmashazzie
Groovychook I watched first series and was a bit confused.I think it should have had a good 10 min catch up for nits like me and people who are just joining. My memory was it wasn't clear cut who killer was.there were lots of red herrings and leading us up various garden paths.I thought 2 nd series would have new case to solve. If I were you Groovychook I would try and find it in you tube. kinsk
We missed the first series, but also managed to miss all the talk about who did it. We watched it all on amazon prime just before Christmas and so still quite fresh in our memories. Can't believe it almost passed us by! Loved the first one and looking forward to next week. soapdragon
We didn't watch the first series and felt that we had missed the boat as everyone raved about it. So I set this series to record (havn't seen it yet) but am now wondering whether just to delete it and give up as it seems, from prev postings and similar comments in the media, that we'd have to watch the whole of the 1st series before launching into the second and we just don't have time!! (pauses for breath...note to self; PUNCTUATE!) Stupidly, I had assumed that this was a 'stand alone' series rather than following on closely from the 1st. What to do ? Quite frankly, by the time I get to slump in front of the tellie in the evening I am so brain dead and zonked that I can only just cope with QI so just not sure I'd be up to the challenge!!! Groovychook
If I were you Groovychook I would try and find it in you tube. Good idea! Well, I've tried to find it on youtube and only been able to watch a short series catch up (which wasn't so helpful!). When I try to watch an episode, it says that 'This video is not available in your country'. It might just be me being a techno numpty but think I'll persevere next week for another episode and if I'm still not engaged with it, I'll give up! Bramble
I didn't see the first series but tuned in on Sunday for the start of the new series, but I have to say, I didn't get it at all - don't think I'll watch anymore of the second series unless I get to do a catch up on the first series. I found the same with Last Tango in Halifax - I think we are now on series 3 and having not seen the first two, I'm a bit puzzled about who everyone is and where they all fit in - I'm starting to think maybe I should subscribe to Amazon Prime!!!??? kinsk
I love amazon prime. It is £79 per year but I order quite a lot of stuff from their site and so for less that £7 per month I get free next day delivery and TV. There is also a kindle lending library but haven't got round to trying that out yet.
chickencam
We have now caught up, we watched series one in a week and have just watched the first episode of series two. They have done a good job, but it doesn't do much for your faith in human nature.
chickencam
Well that's that then, thoughts?
bluekarin
A really good, if very sad, ending to this series I thought. Tied everything up nicely and I can't wait until the next series
chickencam
I thought that the ending was well thought out. It will be interesting to see where they take it from here in series three. Olivia Coleman plays angry so well.
Egluntyne
I agree. A good ending which leads us nicely into the next series. Not as gripping as the first series by any means. I hope that if it does return there won't be so many distracting howlers.
gavclojak
I agree, I didn't think it was gripping as series and a little "bitty" but series 1 was so good it was hard to compare. A few of the characters were a bit of a cliché but am looking forward to the next series. I loved homeland and that lost its way in series 3 but was followed by a fantastic next series. CatieB
Just me then, I thought it was utter tosh. So many howlers, and so unrealistic it made it rubbish for me. Yes I know it's drama but for me they have to have a degree of realism to be worthwhile. After all I wasn't watching Dr Who!
Valkyrie
OH has recorded it so that we could have a marathon session like Breaking Bad (which I missed several episodes due to zzzzzzzzzz). I wasn't really keen on the first series and when he announced let's watch I decided nah, it would only be for the sake of appeasing someone who is going to be snoring away, rewinding, snoring, rewinding all evening. I'll potter somewhere else instead. Actually I prefer Dr Who!
Groovychook
I was a bit underwhelmed by the whole series, but probably not the best judge as I didn't watch the first series. I'll give the next one a whirl but not overly excited about it!
