A Princess

Sorry, but it leaves me cold ... I wish them joy of their new baby as I would any other family but I don't feel it merits the amount of press coverage it gets. There are more important things going on in the world.

Not a royalist then olly

Other news

Tragic news about Rio Ferdinand's wife. So young to succumb to the dreaded breast cancer!!

I keep trying to be sympathetic to those who were and those who still face execution in Bali on drug smuggling charges but I just can't manage it.

Who cares about the MvP boxing tonight? NOT ME

And 56 stone Carl? Sorry but who is paying for all that food he is getting through, he eats enough food daily to keep a small island going!!

Sweet news. There's something lovely about about a brand new baby princess.

I don't know if I like the Royal family as individuals, I don't know them terribly well. I do know that I like the continuity of kings and queens through our history. I'd rather not be left with just duplicitous politicians and vacuous celebrities because I have no interest in their history.

I agree with others it is lovely to have some happy news. I do feel that the press do go over the top, apparently some papers have 20 pages on the story, how do you write that much about one little baby.

I hope they have a reasonably normal happy family life together and are allowed some them time to bring up their children.

Me too Jude; I'm not a royalist per se, but it's nice to have some positive news in all this gloom of disasters and politics. They seem a lovely young couple, trying to bring their family up in as normal a fashion as is possible in their position. Good luck to them.

Couldn't agree more :D
