susiepoos
The wait is over and the results are out - my son got 2 B's, 5 C's and 2 D's - he's happy and I'm happy that he can stay on at the schools 6th form. I know if he'd revised he'd have done better but you can't tell them can you How did everyone else fare??????

Nicola H
My son also didn't revise but did fairly well he got 1 A, 4 B's, 4 C's and a D...........He didn't quite get enough points to stay on at the Grammar school but he has secured a place at the local high school to take 4 A-Levels so we are both pleased............After the last 2 years I am suprised he passed any exams it has been a real roller coaster. Congratulations to your son Susie what great results.
Egluntyne
Fantastic....it is such a relief for you both SusanBB and Nicola H. This time last year I was in your position. My son did supriingly well to say that he hadn't opened a book in 5 years. He got a mixture of A's B's and C's. He bucked the trend though and decided to leave school to do a modern apprenticeship. Best thing he ever did. He absolutely loves it and is working hard....and gets paid! Edited August 23, 2007 by Guest

Cate in NZ
Massive congratulations to you both Susie & Nicola, and to your boys especially You must both be pleased I have all this to come next year with my eldest who doesn't see the need to revise either karen x Snap Karen, Seb can't quite get his head around the concept of revision, and he sits his next year. He's a bright boy and capable of doing well, but I'm not feeling particularly optimistic right now I just hope that sometime between now and next June he decides to wake up and buckle down. Mrs Frugal
Tom got 4 Bs, 7 Cs, a D and a half GCSE grade D in RE and as part of his revision mentoring course, he did edexcel exams in numeracy and English as well which are equivalent to one GCSE pass . Snowy
You must both be pleased I have all this to come next year with my eldest who doesn't see the need to revise either karen x Me too Karen - my eldest can't see the point of even studying in the first place 'You don't need GCSEs to be a drummer in a rock band' is what I get told. Well, duh, what the heck do I know about it all? Well done to all those who've survived GCSEs so far!
Martin B
Well, I've got all the results malarky to come next year. I'm not predicted anything lower than a C so I should be ok. Fingers Crossed. I'm expecting to get one of my Science GCSE'S in the next week or so, along with 25% of my French. I've done 20% of my Maths in which I got an A, so just another 80% of that to go. Congratulations to Kate, Susie and Nicola. You must be very proud, it's such hard work doing all the exams and coursework. Martin
One Man Banned
Well done to those with the results and well done to Tom! For those that don't revise, I didn't either, and while I did ok (back in '96 mind you ) I got 5 C's 2 D's 1 E and 1 F. Had I revised I would have done much better and I've regretted it ever since. I was too busy working to earn spending money to care about revising! A xx
ubereglu
Well yesterday I got the results back from Module 1 in Maths and I got 64/66, which is an A* I'm so pleased! This goes with my other Maths Module, Module 3, which I also got an A* in with 108/111, so I'm just really pleased, it's all thanks to my very good Maths teacher!!! Well done on everyone else's results, you've done so well and now whatever you do you know you have done yourself proud at getting this far! theherd123
WOW! Im really pleased for everyone who got great marks and i bet your childs teachers are smiling too. I love to see my students do well My cousin got 3 B's and 7C's which is brilliant esp as her dad had a heart attack in the middle of exam season and her brother, 18, was left as the main carer for her while her dad was in hospital. She is really pleased and is going to go to college in September to do 4 A Levels.
Looney
Well done to everyone - excellent set of results! I can't believe how long it is since I got my results (13 years ) My brother never did any revision (he got Bs and Cs) when he took his GCSEs...years later he rang me after his second year at uni to announce a major revelation......"I've discovered how to get better results...........REVISE!" So, he worked it out in the end
Egluntyne
Good for her. I hope her Dad is on the mend. Some young people are so resilient in the face of difficult circumstances.
