soapdragon
Having sold 4 items Sunday before last and diligently posted them off on the Monday I did my usual e mail to buyers saying..not verbatim but general gist; 'confirming posting of your 'whatever' today so should be with you by Thursday. I'd be grateful for confirmation of safe arrival either via e mail or feedback but do have proof of posting, in case of probs!' Had 4 emails back along the lines of 'yes, of course will do'! To date, a week the following Wednesday, have heard nothing! Quandry; do I now assume that they have received items and are happy and so fritter the money on treats for me (or, more likely, stuff the boys need!!!) or do I hang on in case they suddenly decide have not arrived and want refund Not huge amounts but, with the postage, around 50 squids) I ALWAYS leave feedback within 48 hours to let peeps know its arrived safely and I am happy - doh! Several years ago I sold a large carpet bag for £89 and never heard a thing from the buyer....that money sat in my Paypal a/c for months...just in case
AndyRoo
I think of it this way: no feedback is good feedback. If they haven't contacted you to say the item has gone missing or that there was a problem, then that's a good thing. Some people just don't leave feedback. I've sold loads more stuff through eBay than I have received feedback for. I usually give it a week before leaving feedback myself.
Grandmashazzie
Agree, I would presume its arrived and they are happy. I bought jumper on eBay , arrived last week. Well pleased with it as it was same one I had had two years ago. I never think to leave feedback.
The Dogmother
I try to remember to leave feedback, as I would like people to do the same for me - doesn't always work like that though. I would assume that everything is OK
Bramble
I always assume no feedback is good feedback. I figure if they're NOT happy (for whatever reason) they'll be quick to get in touch. I sold an item once (very carefully packed and labelled) that had various parts to it, the buyer got in touch within minutes of the item arriving (I would imagine) to say there were pieces missing. I replied quickly to say no, everything was there, the boxes in the main box are all clearly labelled, please look again. Fortunately the buyer got back to me straight away with apologies to say everything was there and they'd unpacked it in such a rush they hadn't spotted all the boxes. I know she received it and was happy because of this email string, but she didn't leave me feedback on ebay itself.
Cinnamon
I give it a week, then they are removed from my list of transactions. I have a woman at the moment who I bought something from who is sending me almost daily reminders to leave her feedback & it is driving me mad! In fact I am determined NOT to leave any for her, just because she is such a pest. When I started eBaying I was very good & left Feedback right away - I have got a little more relaxed about it now though.
soapdragon
So far I have had one out of four leave feedback.......I would DEF never solicit it (that's just plain wrong!) but the fact it is left reassures me that things have arrived in good order and that the buyer is happy and not going to demand money back at some time in the future!!! I don't madly rush to leave feedback myself but do try and do it within a few days.
Charlottechicken
Agree with others, don't ask for it as it can have the opposite effect. Assume no feedback means everything is OK, this is tricky for me as I'm a worry wort and want to know everything has arrived and is OK As a seller, I only leave feedback for those who leave it for me, as a buyer I leave it as soon as I receive goods and everything is OK. I never message buyers after dispatching the goods, unless I've had prior contact with them about the item. I used to, but it was just a waste of time in the end.
