Cat tails
After some time, I finally upgraded the extended run of my chickens. As I don’t have any foxes around in this area of the Netherlands, I always just had a piece of wire mesh with some netting over it. But it made cleaning a hassle and I was getting fed up with it. So ordered some scaffolding supplies online and made my own metre high run. So happy it all fits! Still waiting for the shade cloth I ordered with it to go over the top, but for now they seem convinced enough they are enclosed and they’re not planning their flapping escape. Cat tails
And actually incredibly easy to assemble! I found an online store that cuts the pieces to length for you. So just needed an Ikea type key to turn the screws.
mullethunter
When I was little my parents built a house and then converted a barn so I spent most of my childhood basically on a building site. I wanted to be a scaffolder 😆
Luvachicken
Cat tails that is an excellent run and a very beautiful shade. Did you choose the picture or was it one of your own ?
Cat tails
It’s a picture I took last year in the garden. I think it looks sunny without being too dark. Still very chuffed with the result! So happy everything worked out!

Cat tails
As the butterfly cover isn’t waterproof, ordered a clear tarp and got it in the post today. Really happy with the quality and the protection it offers.
Luvachicken
Oooh that looks like a nice sturdy cover - just what they need to keep them dry and sheltered from anything nasty autumn and winter might throw at them.
