BeckyBoo
Yes, good luck Susan. I've only just caught up with this thread, there sure was a lot to read and goodness me I didn't realise this stuff was so common I had PCOS, which is why I didn't realise I was pregnant with number one until I was nearly 3 months gone, I often waited that long for periods and had been told I would need fertility treatment to get pregnant, 6 months with OH and that was the end of THAT condition! After number one my periods were miraculously every 28 days, I could even tell you what time of day I was going to start! (10am if anyones interested ) I'm now quite heavy for the first couple of days but it's manageable but what's getting worse is the PMS. Which in my case stands for POST menstrual tension because the week AFTER I've finished I descend into a black hole of despair and become almost murderous I'm so full of rage. Luckily I do now know that it's a temporary thing which helps a lot. I tried Cerazette which was fine for the first three months but again, I became full of rage, this time permanently so I had to come off it. I take Evening Primrose Oil when I remember but I'm quite a moody person anyway as my ex will tell you In fact high maintenance doesn't even cover it when it comes to my moods. I'm lunar led, DEFINITELY either really HIGH or really LOW on the full moon, wouldn't be surprised to find I had a touch of bipolar but still. I now also take Sepia, Sweet Chestnut as well as Rescue Remedy but they're all things I've bought over the counter as I can't afford a proper homeopathy appointment. I won't have a coil or go back on the pill as I (maybe wrongly) blame being on the pill from 15-32 ( ) for my PCOS and I don't want to put hormones or anything into my body. At least I know I'm not alone, as I said the periods are manageable but the moods have definitely contributed to the break up of my marriage. BeckyBoo Sounds as if you have a real bad time at period time - You have taken all I would try too and dont know what else you could try - I am with you on the pill stuff - I was sterilised many moons ago as I did not wish to be on the pill for ever and I fell pregnant twice very quickly. I am lucky that apart form this polyp bleeding my periods have stopped and I have come through the other side of menopause not too badly - maybe a few more grey hairs and wrinkles but hey thats what its all about - growing old gracefully and without any more probs after this large one I hope! Chin up you have had a lot to put up with and you need to keep yourself going as you have done so well. Hugs S
Blackrocksrock
Been and had the deed done - had to sign for a hysterectomy in case be and was not looking forward to yesterday - result was hugs polyp on a very narrow stalk which was cut off with electro cautery and I am home to-day - was done late yesterday but my professor said I could go home last night and the nurse in charge would not let me and I had ok obs and eating within 30 mins of op and drinking water on the op room recovery as was very thirsty with a sore throat from the tube so one more night of sleeplessness and I am home to-day thankfully and very grateful to the NHS. Dont even have to go back for a check up and he says that should be my lot>
