SarahJo
Errr - I used to be a stay at home Mum - Since October have started work as a Lab Tech in General Science and Biology. We finished last Friday (14th) - my lads don't break up till tomorrow, and OH on Saturday. So far its been one long PARTY and I did feel a bit bad after the 2nd "do" - but then again I have been at home for 8 years - so have a few nights and lunches out to catch up on. . This time last year I was writing my heart out - trying to get into Medical writing ( as has Chocchick ) - on refection - glad I have landed the perfect, term time well paid job, and still have time in the day for my boys and animals . To all those in retail / public service - keep the smile - your nearly yhere - and at least you don't have to take the grumpy complaining peeps home with you . Merry Christmas

theherd123
I finish tomorrow too! Maybe permanently if i get fired! (see below) We have a training day for which we have a 'Happiness Agenda'! Each sector of our school has to put a presentation together to show off the most successful moments in the last year. In the introduction to ours i have made the Senior Leadership Team into dancing elves - not too sure how this will go down - probably like a lead balloon! Cate in NZ
Children both finished school now. I'm still working, (although have taken a day's A/L this week- believe me I needed some extra time). Since I no longer work in hospital I do get the Bank Holdays off (worked my fair share of Christmas Days in the past though) but I'm at work on Christmas Eve and Thursday 28th. Should be a good atmosphere though, and I don't really mind working those days.

pianissimo
I finish tomorrow too! Maybe permanently if i get fired! (see below) Sadly, I did! Or at least I was made redundant at the end of October, so I have a much longer break than everyone else! It takes the edge off the celebrations, but on the other hand I have more time to myself! Does anyone need an IT Project Manager...?
