Egluntyne
Wow!! Round of applause for Kev. How many of us are going to dash off and attempt to do one of our own?
Couperman
I am always on the look out to learn new software even if it doesn't benefit me financially. The eggbox thing was created using open source software called The Gimp which comes as stantard with the Ubuntu Linux OS. It is similar to Photoshop apparently, the choice of professional artisty kind of guys (I have never used it). But if you want to have a play, without spending any cash it works on Windows too and is fairly powerful. I had a five minute play and that was the result! I would be interested to hear what seasoned Artist pro's make of if. Kev.
Ain't Nobody Here
The eggbox thing was created using open source software called The Gimp I had a go at using The Gimp when I started using the forum (I was trying to get one of those avatars that have changing pictures). I got a bit bogged down with it and couldn't work out how to make it my avatar . Yours looks good - maybe I'll have another go!
bronze
I've only just seen it and I love it. Might have to get you to make me a custom avatar
The Dogmother
That's great Kev - I'll ask Phil if he's ever used it - he does 3D illustration and is always fiddling with new programs.
Couperman
He will have heard of Blender then, another Open source program not quite as easy to use as or as powerful as 3Dstudio or Maya etc but it's a good place play for free.
