chickencam
I'm sorry to hear that, it was rude of them not to let you know. It doesn't sound like the sort of place you would want to be
chocchick
I'm sorry, I'm jobhunting too. Did you get any feedback-it can be helpful if upsetting. I had to wait over 2 weeks for 2 decisions, and one was just because of confusion between them and the agency The second one I got a rejection letter dated 4 days after the interview that they'd kept for 2 weeks. The person on the phone was unpleasant and sounded like it would put her out to find out why I was rejected. On about the 3rd week they gave feedback for parts of the interview (writing test, editing test, presentation, interview) saying that they were "poor" mostly without giving any details about how. I know I've done fine in most things previously so asked them to clarify. Still waiting for the 2nd reply over a month later........
Joojoo
Oh I'm sorry hun. Fingers crossed there is something waiting just around the corner Some companies just don't have any people skills whatsoever. They were obviously not the right ones on this occasion - you will find somewhere so much better. Keep smiling Jue x

Cate in NZ
Oh, Chelsea, what a disappointment, and how very rude of them. As someone already said it sounds like you had a lucky escape, what inconsiderate employers they must be . I'm sure there is something much better for you just waiting around the corner. Fingers crossed that it turns up very soon. Good luck
chelsea
I'm sorry, I'm jobhunting too. Did you get any feedback-it can be helpful if upsetting. Its SOO frustrating isnt it chocchick? I hope you are lucky soon. It just feels like one knock down after another to me I suppose im lucky to currently have a job and not be out of work, but I dont understand what is wrong with me! im well educated, have qualifications, and most importantly a smiley face! I just dont understand what employers are looking for these days. I didnt ask for feed back, I wasnt in the mood to ask for it and she was so abrupt and short with me (probably because I surprised her) that i hung up as soon as she said "we've recruited". I've applied for 2 more this afternoon. School Administrator at a primary school & House letting Administrator both local within 4 miles of home. Hen Watch
Sorry to hear you didn't get the job Chelsea. I know how it feels. My husband was made redundant last year and got a job offer yesterday. We've been waiting for the right one, close by so family life isn't disrupted. It's been a long year and that "waiting to hear" bit is awful. But on the plus side it's been a wake up call. We've assessed all our finances and are now saving more money than before and he's had a fantastic time doing tons of things with the kids. I'm a believer in fate and perhaps there's a better, more perfect job is out there for you. Good luck with the others you've applied for. Couperman
If they haven't got the decency to reply or phone and let you know the outcome then they don't deserve your talent. Some people in positions of authority who got there by accident rather than talent only hire people who are not a threat to them. It's the way of the world, unfortunately. If you are really good at your Job you don't get promoted as you are too hard to replace. If you are rubbish at your job you get promoted to make way for someone more productive. Once the slacker has made it into management he makes sure the right people never make it. Whenever I have sent out speculative letters enquiring about work vacancies etc, I noticed that it is only the smaller firms that reply with a courtious thanks but no thanks with a proper letter typed especially for me and signed. Large firms seem to not want to waste their stamps or e-mails or time. Anyway, it's not always bad when you don't get the job. Another opportunity will pop up soon.! Good luck. pickled egg
I agree with everyone else - you are FAR too good for them. Remember, if its not for you it passes you by. Something much nicer will come along.
MedusA
Sorry you didn't get the job, Chelsea, but if their attitude to letting you know is anything to go by, you are better off NOT working for a company like that! *hugs*
missuscluck
I agree. We always reply to letters and if we interwiew we always let them know. To be honest it is difficult to do and thats why the havent done it. A fair indication of how things are today, if its difficult no one wants to do it. Good luck and I hope you find something else. Tina C
Go for it Chelsea! That other job would have turned out to be rubbish - regard that last interview as a just a stepping stone to something better.
chelsea
im thinking of complete career change now. Just been speaking to the homehelp woman who visits the elderly chap next door. She loves her job visiting and helping elderly people. The company she works for has vacancies and you need no experience. Im a cheery, jolly person and good with people so I think i would brighten someone's day. What do you reckon? Thanks for all your comments, you have really spurred me on. .....im not even thinking about that rotten company today!!!
Yorkshire Pudding
That sounds like a good idea - why not look into it? The worst possible outcome is that you decide you don't fancy it after all!
Kathy C
I am sorry to hear that they were so rude to you Chelsea. I hope you have more success with your new plan. I think you would be perfect!
