Jules.
I've already told LSH that on Father's day i am going to lie in until 9am like he did today I made the boys their breakfasts at 8am. I didn't get anything to open as my egg skelter hasn't arrived yet. I got 2 home made ( well, school made) cards, & some daffodils & carnations from the boys when they came out of Sunday school. missuscluck
Still it could be worse, I was given a sack of horse manure last year for Mothers Day See I like this kind of gift, it shows imagination Tessa Thats a great present Happy mothers day all. Hope you are all having a lovley day. My m in law is away on holiday at the mo and we have had some lifts to do today as daughter is in a show this afternoon and step daughter is doing a st johns ambulance duty today so we didnt have my mum over either, she is having lunch with my sister and two brothers so all in all, lifts aside its been a quiet day. My kids are well aware how much I love mothers day as my birthday is christmas eve it gets overshadowed by the preperations for feeding the 5000 so I love mothers day and treat it a bit like a birthday should be and try to get a bit of a day off and get all the chores done the day before. I have had a dvd of the 'take that' tour and some body shop smellies which I am very pleased with. I also had my breakfast made for me and we are having a takeaway for a treat tonight so no cooking. I have had the time to get out in the garden this afternoon too. All in all, a lovley day
baby bears mum
I've had a wonderful day. Baby Bear woke up at 7am (which is late for her - even though she's 11) came and gave me huge hugs and two home made cards and a beautiful necklace showing a mother and child (few tears there folks!!!! - but in a good way). OH and BB went to make me a cup of fruit tea and a bacon sandwich and then ran me a bath . After that we went to Coed y Dinas (a garden centre type place) and had lunch and a mooch around and I am now sat here (doing the internet shopping - allegedly - ) with a glass of red wine. I love my BB and OH. loads (Back to normal tomorrow though - roll on next year ).

We had a viewing at 2pm so had to clean and tidy everywhere and then visited my mum to give presents, cards and hugs. Back home now and trying to have a bit of laptop time ! OH cooking a roast inbetween doses of Beecham powders. probably will feel too poorly when its time to wash up!

Strepsy
I'm not too fussed about this mother's day as it's the first without my Mum. But I got some nice Boots smellies and a book called 'A Slice of Organic Life' plus a 'Mum' teddy off my eldest and middle DDs. Hubby made me egg and veggie bacon butties for breakfast and then we had to go out for my godson's football birthday party, then onto the cemetary, then MILs. He's now gone out to get a chippy for tea Hope everyone's having a nice day.

ajm200
I got a lovely box of chocolates delivered to me in bed by my toddler son. He fell over his own feet halfway across the room and landed on the chocs squashing them flat. He looked so cute that I had to laugh
Popcorn
Similar thing happened here on Valentines Day. OH left me some surprise chocs on the bed. Stefan had got hold of the ribbon tied around the box and was having great fun dragging them around the house! I wondered what he'd got at first - then quickly rescued and ate them! riane
We had a viewing at 2pm so had to clean and tidy everywhere Are you off to pastures new Maria? Yes been on the market since August but the market is very very quiet. Dore is usually quite a safe bet but it has been dreadful. The estate agent has gone onto short hours its so quiet! but hopefully things might pick up. We advertised again in the telegraph this weekend and have had 4 viewings so fingers crossed. Guest
Now I know you'll all be soooo jealous, but I got a Donny Osmond CD Well, I really am jealous! I didn't get one. Donny Osmond still makes me miss a beat! I have had some lovely cards and DD3 cooked me dinner tonight. Egg Florentine with baked potato and beetroot. I took my mother to see the Mikado at the Coliseum, which was wonderful, but I felt a bit guilty deserting my own children.
