awww hun, im glad your ok, and your dad is recovering. DOnt worry Anasethic [sorry i cant spell, sooo tired] can make you feel weird.

 

When i had seth i was so drugged up i thought men dressed in black tight outfits were coming down from th ceiling, through the air con on ropes to steal seth, i didnt sleep for 2 nights through worry.

It sounds like good news about the operation.

My dad had a kidney op a few years ago- we visited him the same day & he looked rough. The next day we saw a huge improvement, & I hope you see one in your dad today x

Anaesthetics can make the most timid and tiny people become herculean in strength sometimes I'm sure today will see big improvements

he's still quite confused and isn't really responding to what you say to him. He's still trying to get out of bed and pull tubes out. They've given him something (?) to calm him down but they don't really want to give him sedatives in case it makes him worse, you know, more confused than he already is.

 

I hope there's some improvement tomorrow, it's horrible seeing him so confused and not resting.

 

It's just started to snow here as I type this, been a weird day all round

thanks everyone, it is good to know you're thinking of dad and rooting for him.

 

They've moved him from HDU to a ward now and stopped his epidural. They think that the epidural together with his anasthetic might have been causing his confusion.

 

He's still a dit delerious but not as much. He has more quiet moments now than before. he did pull out his catheter and took the bandages of his arm (which the nurse put on to stop him trying to pull his drip out) but he does seem a bit more lucid so we're hoping he'll be even more so t'row.

 

Off for some tea now, thanks again

That sounds like he is making good progress. Once they can reduce his drugs, I'm sure you will soon see him returning to normal. Have a peaceful night and a good sleep.
