Yorkshire Pudding Posted March 23, 2008 Share Posted March 23, 2008 My lads were out in it at 9am and had a snowball fight followed by making a snowman (mucky chicken poo snow, covered by a thin layer of clean snow) with their Daddy. The chickens had a good wander around in it, they don't seem bothered by a little bit of weather and get happily soaked and covered in mud. On the way home, all the lower lying snow in Macclesfield had melted, and it was sunny and warm . Felt a bit like coming down off the piste, into the valley after a ski-ing session ( I wish ). Oh well, glad we had one opportunity to build snowment this year This was the lovely view from the front door: And the rather messier back view when I let the girls out. Normally they rush out but they were a bit tentative today! Trouble is their run was like the black hole with all the snow on it's roof! For once Bo the white chicken was striding out confidently - do you think she knew she was camouflaged? Normally she's at the back of the queue! Deb Dav Posted March 23, 2008 Share Posted March 23, 2008 The garden is the main reason we bought the house Once the boys are more grown up and don't play football or skateboard the lawn will have polytunnels on it and more fruit trees. It is a relief - I thought it said 'more snow' but the 'w' looked more like a 't' and it reads 'more snot' I'm obviously seeing things as there is no 's'. It all makes sense now! OUr son has been desperate for snow all winter and I'm so glad they had a change to go sledging round the garden and build a snow-lady The Chicks didn't want to come out, but Quita (our Guide Dog pup) had a whale of a time.
