SAB
Could anyone give me instructions (with photos if possible) of how to fix on a plastic shower curtain to Cube run. Basically I want it to work well, but not look unsightly. (yes, I am the woman who wants everything!)
Egluntyne
I used lugage cords. I'll see if I can find a photo. Back in a sec. Am back. Not the best picture in the world, but you can see that I have just looped 2 together and pulled them down and hooked them onto the run. The end is tucked into a winter shade. SAB
Thanks - that was what I was thinking of doing and I am sure I have some luggage cords somewhere, which I will hopefully find before chickens arrive.
The Dogmother
I laid the shower curtain over the run and cut it to fit at the smaller end, then used some plastic Arro eyelets from Millets (£2.99 for 10) and bungee hooks from B&Q - it looks brilliant and fits very well. If you look in my album (link below) then you'll see my first attempt before I got the eyelets.
Olly
I used bulldog clips! They do go rusty eventually, and then I chuck them away and get some more.
Chickvic
We have the run pegs and used those to attach the curtain at the eglu end and used the shade to hold it down at the other! Couldn't find a chicken one - we had to make do with ducks! [/img]
SAB
Thank you all for your inspiration. By the way, Chicvic, love the quote at the bottom of your thread re chicken houses and catherdrals!
Strepsy
I've got plastic bulldog-type clips.

Nic_78
I use 'Holdon clips' and ball bungees. The Holdon clips aren't the cheapest, but they grip amazingly well, and when the shower curtain is past its day, I can just unclip them and clip them onto the corners of a new one. They were originally designed to hold up advertising banners and to keep down tarpaulins, so they're certainly strong enough. They look very neat too. Here's what I use... http://www.holdon.info/ and http://www.tarpaulinsdirect.co.uk/TarpaulinsSite/product/BBB06.htm
moomin
I use bungee cords to hold mine on. This is really weird but I have a blue eglu and a duck shower curtain - just like chickvics! Although the ducks look a bit different on mine! I haven't re-sized the photo but you can see it in my album - http://club.omlet.co.uk/gallery/main.php?g2_itemId=27535 Chickvic I hope you're reading this I just thought it was a co-incidence!! AnnieP
Love the ducky shower curtain! My flowery one is looking a little sad these days... must go and hunt out a new jazzy one! I just use pretty coloured pegs to hold mine in place.
moomin
AnnieP, if you have a Debenhams near you, they are selling them half-price, £7.50!!
Chickvic
Moomin how strange! We'll have to do a quick head count to see if anyone else has the same...
moomin
I doubt if anyone would have our good taste chickvic But maybe they wouldn't want their chickens growing up with a 'duck complex'
koo2cat
I use ordinary clothes pegs!!!
Tessa the Duchess
I use ordinary clothes pegs!!! Me too, although when it got really windy I used some bungy things as well. Don't use the Eglu run anymore, got posh run with plastic roof. Tessa
Ain't Nobody Here
I use green bungee cords from * here *. (They match the green of the run .)
