I've been away for a little bit after a stint in hopital with viral meningitis. First day back home and it's cheering me up no end reading all the posts. Hoping I'll be ok to start back to work next week, so intend to catch up while I can :)

...like I have a huge hangover, but without the fun beforehand! Tiggy, Eglutine, did it take you long to get over it? I know viral is the best one to pick up, but my memory and concentration are shot to pieces at the moment. Still getting nasty headaches too. It's been just over a week.

I cant remember how long I was in hospital, had the whole lumbar puncture thing on a trolly in A&E & some helpful person kept turning the light on :roll: it took a good few weeks for me to recover enough to go back to work but I felt totally washed out for a few months Sorry

Clur im so sorry to hear you have been so ill, its not much fun at all is it? :(

 

Im glad you are at home and on the road to recovery but do take as long as you need before returning to work otherwise it will take you twice the time to feel like your old self again.

Don't go back too soon or you will regret it. Take all the time the docs recommend your body does need it to recover fully. Glad you are feeling better. Take some Omeopathic time out and sit in the sun with a big hat and shades and watch the chooks. Oh and a big glass of something cool :)

The lumbar puncture took 3 people with several attempts each before a fourth came to the rescue. Never want to go through that again, more painful than giving birth :oops: Do feel washed out and have spoken to my boss who is fine with me going back to work when I'm ready. May try to go back a few hours a day from next week, but going to take your advice and play it by ear.
