I Luurve my crocs.

Like many others - I can walk miles in them and not have tired feet. My feet don't sweat or get smelly. When it comes to cleaning, they just need a wash under the tap and they are as good as new.

My problem is I'm scared of colour !!! Own black, Khaki and chocolate crocs but I would love to go for something more vibrant.

My solution ? Dress the kids in the brightly coloured ones and enjoy that way. At mo, daughter has a celery pair and son has lime - very eye-catching (and soo practical for a pair of mud/sand/muck lovers like my two!)

Oh don't, you will get someone started - is it Richard that always likes to say such things about Crocs? We have not had a Croc bashing thread for a while!

Well remembered Tina. I have had a bit of a go at the stupid shoes in the past. I try to avoid the threads about them now.

One of the things I complained about was the number of threads that fans of the stupid shoes kept starting, many of which were repetitive ("I bought crocs." "Ooooh. Did you?" "Did you? Ooooh!" "So did I!" "OMG I've got crocs." "Mine are blue." "Mine are red." "Mine are blue too and I want to get reds ones." etc. etc. ), and I suggested that they just have one thread and keep all their crocs comments there so that those of us who weren't interested had less chance of stumbling across a stupid shoe thread. The football fans were asked to do this after people complained about the number of football threads and they have stuck to this very well to show that they are all reasonable, intelligent, thoughtful and kind. You will have noticed that crocs fans ignored my request.

As for men wearing them- oh no it just looks wrong!:shock:

edited to add- whoops I may have alienated half the forum- sorry  - I'm a kind hearted person in real life!!

I have resisted crocs so far (I feel my feet are too big as it is and I have thin ankles - not an attractive look at all). I have some Town and Country plasticy mule things for in the garden and with the hens.

I have just ordered my 10 year old a pair of khaki crocs though for in the garden and at the caravan. Whether he'll wear them I don't know. :)

I think they're th emodern day equivalent of jellies. Great for chidren (my boys have them) silly on adults except in certain situations liek theyre fab for nurses etc.

I agree they are the modern day version of Jelly shoes. The big difference is that Jelly shoes were cheap as chips, Crocs are a ridiculous price for a pair of plastic shoes. The Crocs company must have a genius marketing department persuading so many people to spend so much money :shock:

I have some 'copycat' crocs.

I went on the beach in them once and they filled up with sand and made it really difficult to walk - good excercise though!

I also wore them to pressure hose down the decking yesterday good for that, my other sandals are leather, not good to get wet!

 But I have size 9 feet!

Crocs make my feet look more like size 11!

I have to say though, before you all think I am some sort of hobbit with HUGE feet.... I am 5 ftt 11, so if I have size 7 feet I would erm...probably fall over!!

The trouble with jelly shoes is that they are bad for kids feet, crocs aren't. I don't care what people say, apart from baseball boots, crocs are the only shoes i can wear. And seeing as i can rarely bend to tie shoelaces, the baseball boots don't get much wear.

I've always hated shoes as they are just so boring, i've been in baseball boots for ages before crocs came along as at least i could get different colours.

And Richard, we haven't stuck to one crocs thread as no-one writes about them for ages so the thread gets lost. Then people start a new one.

My last pair was a pair of khaki bayas which OH brought back from Hong Kong and cost half as much. They had a Crocs shop over there and purchases were put into canvas crocs bags, not carrier bags. How i wish i could have gone.

Initially I hated them and then I tried a pair on and was shocked by not only how light they were (I thought they would be really heavy) but also by how comfortable they are. I don't like the Caymans, although I have a pair for the garden, for which they are ideal. But I do love my Mary Janes (far more elegant), my Georgie boots (at long last a pair of wellies that fit my calves  and are ideal for doing the animals in the winter and in the rain), oh and my Capri flip flops - more comfortable than flip flops, and umm my Adaras (plain black, perfect for work) and ....... nope that is definitely it .... for now.

I have feet that turn over quite badly and summer shoes are a nightmare because of it. I don't seem to have this problem with crocs

I love my crocs. I have four pairs:

Purple caymans,

Navy caymans,

Sea Foam Mary Janes,

Chocolate/Light blue athens flip flops too!

I like them so much because they're really comfortable and fit nicely. I have size 8 feet, a really narrow heel and long toes-meaning where widths usually are measured in shoes my toes are still there.

I also like them as they come in so many colours and it's nice not to wear black shoes when you've come home from school and had to wear black ones all day!

I thought they were horrid, but I've got incredibly wide feet (can't buy normal shoes, i normally end up buying mens shoes) and I kind of knew that as soon as I tried some on, I would have to buy them!!!! My feet felt huge at first, but I've really got used to them and wear them all the time now. My feet don't get nearly as tired as they used to 8)

My children now have a pair each. My daughter didn't like them until she tried mine on !

Jelly Shoes vs crocs. I think that Jelly shoes were incredibly cheap to buy because they made your feet sweaty and didn't fit properly. I used to have problems with kids when I was a teacher when they wore jelly shoes, as they couldn't run around - this isn't a problem with crocs because they are so well made and the special material means that your feet never get sweaty. I'm a complete convert, although I've gone for the most sober colour I could find in my size as I only wanted one pair and didn't want them to clash with any of my clothes!

I am a bit annoyed about the sizing though, as I had to pay for adult crocs for my 8 year old

 Glad I'm not the only one out there who doesn't like them, though I see now they have many many benefits!

I always swore I would never ever wear Uggs, I hated the look of them.... but I have such bad circulation in my feet, I relented last winter and bought a pair. They are so comfy, so cozy, and so resilient!! They were very expensive, but worth every penny! I'm still not overly keen of the look of them, especially the 'copycat' ones which seems to look really worn out and battered really quickly. But my feet love them!! So I suppose it's a similar story with crocs
