Lesley
I'm covering the flowery border tiles in the shower with mosaic tiles. I started to grout them with white grout - and I'm not sure it looks right, it seems to take something away from the tiles............ I've de-grouted them while I think about it.....and ask on here - it took four times longer to get the wet grout out than it did to grout them I could try a dark grey grout......... the floor is dark grey slate effect lino.....the rest of the bathroom is boring beige, but a great improvement on the original orangey/terracotta . Mel (& Paul)
I voted white - but actually I think "pebble" would look nicer

Egluntyne
Ooh.....dunno. I'm useless at this sort of thing. They do look less jewel like with the white though. Voted pebble.
Guest
I actually like the original border, not very helpful I know! Is 'pebble' the same hue as the other tiles? If so, I'd go with that colour.
Jules.
I voted pebble for the same reason as Poet. I though it would make all the tiles blend seamlessly.
Keanie Bean
I think a dark grey would set them off. The white definately spoils them a bit. They are lovely tiles, I love those mosaic ones, we have a dark blue speckeld mosaic in the bathroom against white tiles. I wish I could have afforded more than I could. The Dogmother
Pebble would be good Lesley. Glad to see that border going Love the new tiles - I am looking for something like that in pale irridescent green - will have to pick your brains on Saturday. Mrs Frugal
I like the white. We have similar mosaic tiles in our cloakroom but in a different colour and they look lovely set off by the white grout.
BeckyBoo
Oooohhh, where did you get those? They are LOVELY! We're supposed to be finishing our downstairs dumping ground, sorry downstairs shower / toilet and have so far spent two afternoons disagreeing about a) what I liked versus what OH liked and b) what we could afford. Those are really lovely. I reckon dark grey grout but anything apart from white would be good. They are so Mrs B
Cooks
I like White.. coloured grout always seems dirty looking to me. cant get my head around it..
chucknette
Hi I think the dark grey makes them look more jewel like as previously stated. I think the white tends to make them look a bit flat. just MO If the grout matches the floor colour it would look very opulent.
Louise
I voted grey because beige is too near to the white so you may get the same problem as with white
chocchick
The white makes the tiles look 2D and blend into the background. The dark colour makes them stand out and look shinier and more 3D. I quite like the white.
Paola
I went for the dark grey as I think it will make the tiles stand out
Nicola H
I voted Pebble I think they will look better if the grout matches the other tiles............Good luck Lesley I hate grouting, I always end up with sore fingers....
Ange1
I voted pebble to blend better. I think your new tiles are brill!
Chickvic
I voted dark grey to make them stand out!
Snowy
I think probably the darker colour - grey, BUT they will dull down whichever one you use surely? They only look so jewel like because the light can get around their side edges at the moment, once you've grouted the sides will be occluded so no light. Does that make sense? Maybe try a small patch with both to compare them?

Maybe try a small patch with both to compare them? That's what I was thinking! Maybe I'll leave them without grout!! Thank you all for helping. I think the photo has taken them out of context which doesn't help. As I said, the floor is dark and most of the towels are Mocha. I do have some small fuschia towels and some small purple towels. The room opens off the bedroom which is painted a pale lilac/lavender colour - quite a cold colour, not warm. Carl has picked up some dark grey grout on his way home - I'll give it a go......... anything to save having to mix some more of the pebble The tiles were from Stratford Tile Warehouse - £17.50 per 12" sheet - which is why I couldn't put six rows of tiles and cover all of the border tile! MedusA
I voted dark grey as I think this would be more of a background rather than the prominent white. I think beige would look "dirty" before you started! The tiles are gorgeous.
Stevie
lol-tiles are my living! White is always the safe option when choosing wall grout.
Karen & co.
I voted white, I wasn't sure what white grout and a band of another colur would look like The small glass squares look really lovely, very jewel like Karen x
