What an utter ignorant muppet!

 

Maybe she should read a few of the threads on here to see if chickens don't like this that or the other, and to say kids don't like chickens and chickens don't like kids is ludicrous, take a look at loads of the photo's in the galleries.

 

What an idiot she has made me blow steam out of My vent!!! :evil:

For someone who writes for a living it is a very misinformed article!

 

My OH is a hairdresser so I will be telling him about the head lice bit as he is a bit of an expert! I think lots of humrph noises will follow...

It wasn't a serious article - she hasn't any work, wants people to notice her and what better way than to 'rubbish' chickens, especially with all the publicity they've been getting recently.

What a twit - I could write better articles than that - and so could the rest of you ladies and gents (young and old - er)!

I notice the article is protected by copywrite - who in their right minds would want to plagiarise that load of C**P?!

As for head lice - pooh, been there, done that and they don't come from chickens or any other animal - BECAUSE THEY ARE HUMAN LICE!!!!!!!! Chickens only have head lice - does that mean that the big container of louse and mite powder that I bought will only need to be put on the chickens heads - all those with Cream Legbars - I'll have plenty to spare! :wink:

And it looks like her roots need touching up! :twisted:

I also think it was a funny, meant to make chicken owners ruffle their feathers in indignation, but not seriously meant to offend... it sounds like the woman did a quick read through a brief chicken intro, picking a few keywords, then making the article up, not to be taken as knowledge, but to be taken as 'useless banter'...

Practically everything she says is wrong (apart from don't keep one chook alone), she doesn't know about chooks and doesn't want to know... she just wanted to write something quick and hoping for some reactions... for someone to say 'we don't approve of dogs as pets', is equally ridiculous in my opinion... each pet can be right in the right condition...

 

Maybe she watches too much top gear... it's the kind of arrogant humour jeremy clarkson usually uses...

I think DD4 could say 'chicky' and 'eggy' before she could say 'mama' :roll:

 

(To reassure everyone out there, she was heavily supervised when she picked up the chook... we don't encourage or usually let her pick them up and carry them, for fear she might grab too hard and harm them, but that day she approached one so confidently, bent down, hugged it, and the chook just let itself be picked up in her arms... there are three older kids right out of the pic border ready to pounce in, and we did have to get her to let go two seconds later as one little hand got a little too tight on Nugget's (or was it Mac, can't remember) breastbone)

She is certainly retarded enough. She has done some research though, head lice from chickens! hasn't she heard of MAN BIRD GLOBAL WARMING AVIAN FLU :shock:

 

Dogs are much cleaner than any other animal of course, watch how they greet each other before allowing one to kiss your face. :vom:

 

And don't even start me on cats, fish, newts, or salamanders. My ferrets simply wouldn't sleep.
